    Default Whirlwind feat and unarmed not broken?

    I perused a lot of the older "whirlwind feat is broken" threads, but I also read somewhere (I think concerning someone's monk build) that unarmed whirlwind feat usage does not suffer the same DPS-punitive pauses as using it with weapons.

    Can anyone refer me to any citation about this? If so, I'd be interested in trying out an unarmed whirlwind build.

    For those interested, the findings of Dethtrip's thread concluded (as far as I can tell) that unarmed combat does suffer from a slight lag after the attack that is slightly less bad than unarmed Great Cleave, according to:

    The original thread I saw it in was MaddMatt's Eviscerator, where he vouches for unarmed combat being fine with WW.

    I can't put number to it but I can say that my experience bears this out as well - there is a short pause but it's well worth it against multiple enemies.
