Permanent 10% XP for VIPs? If so, AWESOME! Assuming it stacks with all other forms of XP bonus.
Someone got it wrong. Everyone expected the Spanish Inquisition because they were required to give 30 days notice, by law.
I can be found on Orien. My more active toons are Cilon, Solstone in Your Pack, and sometimes Acroyer.
/BlinksLast thing I wanted to respond to is the discussion on the VIP plan. We are always striving to offer a great value to our VIPs and we think of this as more than just getting access to new content. While our VIPs will continue to receive regular new content and features outside of expansions, we will also be adding other valuable benefits to the program. For example, we already have a change coming for the next patch (as a belated birthday present maybe) which will add 10% boost to all earned XP for VIP accounts. We can’t make every player always decide it is worthwhile to be a VIP, but we will continue to do what we can to make the program a good deal for our most ardent players. We will share more details on these changes as they are solidified.
You have no idea how welcome that news is, and you really mean ALL earned XP for VIP accounts? Heroic and Epic? Stacking with everything else?
I can't wait to see what else you are thinking about for VIPs.
I think I'll take back my complaints about treatment of VIPs and resubscribe to that membership I cancelled yesterday, at least for 90 days to see what gets released
adding xp to vip isnt P2W , P2W would be if ppl could buy +5 tomes that were tradable for platina and also could buy raid gears etc etcetc.. that would be a trully p2w game , a game where the market is totaly destroyed , but anyway please dont destroy old content, thats all i ask , DO NOT DESTROY OLD CONTENT, creat new content w/o breaking all old content. ^^ :P
Fernando -First thing is to say that we recognize that there have been some lingering issues from both the U17 deployment and our recent billing system migration.
There are SO MANY more problems than U17 or the billing migration.. these two items are so far removed from the main problems in DDO .. These are simply th NEW issues with the game and we kinda expect them from Turbine... You should be focusing on the 5 million older issues we are experiencing in the game, please reconsider using some sort of http://www.brainbankinc.com/ software in place where we the end users can vote for/against issues/fixes/changes/ideas we would like the developers to spend time on..
I realize there will always be development/expansions/changes occuring the player base does not need to know about, but the flip side, this comment really shows us that you really do not understand what seems to be bothing us either.
XP increasing options from the store are pay2win because they bypass part of the game for you. Expanding what you can do in the game is not pay2win unless it is grants you something strictly better then the alternative (ie super fighter who get extra feats compared to normal fighters but you buy the class from the store). Classes, quest packs, and races are not pay2win unless they actually meet that bar.

I'm premium, but was VIP for a long time, on 2 accounts.
I find it silly that VIPs real perks that are more than just convenience, and premiums have no way of acquiring. It was bad enough with the elite unlocks, now VIPs get +10% exp? It seems Turbine is pushing players to go VIP, but unless they are gunna refund all the TP I've already paid out for adventure packs, races, classes, etc that VIPs get included, I will not be joining.
I am not poor, but I cannot afford to throw that money away, which is exactly what it would be if I rejoined as VIP.
Why can't Premium players who spend X dollars per year on DDO get these perks as well? It's all about bottom line, right? Or does Turbine, backed by WB, really need that $10/month to keep the lights on?
I just wanna be treated equally on the same standard (money) as VIPs. Is that too much to ask?
My opinion on P2W, is when you can buy something that can't be acquired in game, which grants an advantage over in-game available items. The closest thing I can think of to that criteria is the Blessed Silver and Blessed Cold Iron weapons.
XP stones and pots are, if anything Pay to lose. Or pay to not play the game you already paid to play. The fact that they also have the potential to diminish the experience for other players is a concern, but not one that Turbine shares, obviously.
I wonder, now with 50% xp pot, 5% shrine, 5% heroic inspiration, and 10% VIP, will a TR2+ character be able to stone all the way to 20?
