    Default old player returning

    Im an original beta player. I quit playing when the lvl cap was 12 not sure how long ago that was.

    1 I have a toon that is 7 ranger/3 pally/2rogue. TWF human 32 point build. he could do all traps and umd was maxed. is this toon still viable?

    2 if so then should i go 15ranger/2pally/ 2 rogue. or 12 ranger/6 pally/2 rogue. the second option doesnt leave enough skillpoints for traps and umd.

    3 if I must remake a toon what are some good options for 2wf, traps, umd ,good saves and decent damage. With 32 point and all classes, races available.

    Thanks for any help. just dont want to spend tons of time lvling a toon that is usless at end game.

    ps atm i do a lot of soloing not sure at endgame but I like being self sufficent

    Did you go with the feats for Tempest or no? If not then 11 ranger/6 paladin/3 rogue could work out and would probably give you the skill points to trap and UMD. You still get all the great ranger toys (GTWF, IPS, etc) at 11, you get 1d6 more sneak damage from rogue, and you'd probably want to go Hunter of the Dead as the costs to qualify are just a few AP's instead of feats. The healing amp from there's really nice as is the ghost touch on all weapons if you don't have that available.

    If you went Tempest I'd probably still give thought to the 12/6/2 but I can understand not wanting to waste the chance to trap. One option then - not ideal but possibly ideal for your toon - would be 7 ranger/6 paladin/6 rogue. You could qualify for thief-acrobat I (immunity to knockdown would be the main draw here) or assassin I (1d6 more sneak damage the main draw) as well as Hunter of the Undead for no feat cost on either one. Finally, you could go 7/3/10rogue for Improved Evasion or another rogue feat of your choice.

    Another option, depending on what you want to do:

    Any player who was able to thrive under the original system with XP debt and no dungeon scaling, should have no problem capping any character they play.
    That said, Paladin past life is one of the best available, so you might consider 10pal/7rng/3rog or even 7pal/7rng/6rog and then TR at 20 into a build that makes more sense for the current state of the game.

    A lot of it is down to what you enjoy, of course. I would be tempted to take that character, go 11rng/6pal/3rog and TR into an artificer, nut that's because I have been loving playing artificers recently.

    If you most prefer TWF, 12rng/6ftr/2rog is one of the better deep splashes for later consideration.

    12rng/6pal/2rog is a good enough choice going forward, but you end up with evasion twice for no real benefit.

    I also recommend downloading the amazing Character planner from http://www.rjcyberware.com/DDO/ and playing around a bit with it yourself to see what you come up with.

    Knockdown immunity is from TA2, so that's a no go.

    so would something like this work. it gets me to 20 with umd,spot,search and disable maxed. i lose out on kopesh. not sure how big a deal that is for 2wf. may get tomes and such later if i keep playing this toon. Thanks again for all the help and input. The game has changed a ton.

    I'm assuming your first 12 levels are pretty much locked in, correct?

    You should have a free Lesser Reincarnate from Kruz in House J. So you can respec everything but your levels. I would suggest a few changes to your build with that in mind:
