    Lightbulb Wisdom based race!

What would your suggestions be for a wisdom based race? Gnome maybe?

Other than Aasimar, Forest Gnomes and Deep Gnomes are the only major (sub)races that come to mind with wisdom bonuses.

As a general rule, Gnomes are Int and/or Con based, however, and it'd strike me as being more beneficial to add in more primary races than more subraces; though, of course, auto-grant starting subrace feats are always an option, at least for subraces of minor distinction such as Forest Gnomes (as opposed to the standard Rock Gnome).

Gnomes with +2 wisdom? Absolutely not! Ideally a gnome would have +2 Int -2 Wis as per 2nd Edition. Ignore what TSR did to them in 3/3.5.

I would vote Aasimar, +2 Wis +2 Cha, no penalties, but make em 28/30/32 pt as per drow, and give em resistances etc. And make em the same height as Horcs but more athletic as opposed to pure muscle. And of course we would need Tieflings for contrast with +2 Dex +2 Int (or Cha, I cant remember).

Man I really want an Aasimar FvS now! But I want my Gnome Artificer first

How about an amphibious race for the wisdom-based race? A race that has natural swimming bonuses, swim is a racial skill, and the can breathe underwater.

Yaun-ti purebloods sometimes have a wisdom bonus. There's Aasimar, of course.

But, more native to eberron would be Kalashtar (+2 wisdom/+2 charisma) and Illithid (+2 intelligence, and +2 charisma or wisdom). The issue is both are psionic races, and some people here have major freak outs about psionics.

I've no pity whatsoever for those who have their little tantrums over Psionics.

Not all gnomes. Certainly deep gnomes aren't.

I'm really starting to hate gnomes now.
Once I get my moods under control, I might actually get a character past level 7... ooh, shiny!

Paladins got some love! Now for Warpriests...

I've hated gnomes ever since World of Snorecraft created those vulgar advertisements for their free-to-try program using a gnome humping the air and thrusting his junk at my face.

Aasimar would actually get me to make a Cleric. As someone said above, adding +2 Wis to the Cleric capstone would also be pretty exciting.

    Kalashtar might have +2 wisdom.
Sahuagin do have a +2 to wisdom (but they aren't a civilized race native to Eberron).

While I in general would like it if the core races of Ebberon where implemented I think Grey orcs (since the gate to Faerun is open now anyway) would be quite good and easily implemented as a wis race.

    From WotC; (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20030301a)

"Gray orc characters have the starting age, life expectancy, and height and weight characteristics of half-orcs"

So a re-texturing of the half-orc mesh would be all that is needed graphics wise (would be nice with some longer hair options and perhaps dreadlocks as well).

    "+2 Strength, -2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma"

    "Level Adjustment: +1."

Level adjustment +1 is one less level adjustment than Aasimar (lvl adj. +2), so it would be less likely to have Drow stat distribution and even if its not an core Eberron race it would fit the lore of Eberron quite nicely if players made orc druids which is very much encouraged by the Grey orc stat distribution.
The Tarcane Death knight; a solo friendly plate wearing (0% spell failure) arcane knight.

The announcement about the upcoming expansion this summer said that they intended to work on a way to let players start in Faerun at 15th level with Faerun-born characters with Faerun-specific racial traits. So... yeah.
