It's "true reincarnation" and you always start at L1 as a TR.

What you are talking about is called True Reincarnation (TR)

In order to TR you will need to have reached level 20, and have a True Druidic Heart of Wood

Once you've gotten your heart, and reached level 20, there is an NPC in House Jorasco called Kruz.

He can be found at the top of the stairs in the south west garden, or zone into house J from the Market place, and virtually run straight ahead, and run up the hill just behind the pond.

Talk to Kruz to turn in your heart, and then log off.

In the log in screen, you'll see a Reincarnate button, next to your characters name, click that to begin the reincarnation process, and come back as a level 1.

while all that is true, if you 'just' go do that without reading up on it first, you are almost guaranteed to regret it. Read the wiki article an make sure you are well prepared.

That's true, and i guess the op called for an example.

As an arti, your next life will net you +1 umd, and +1 to all int based skills for free.

You also only had to acquire 1.9m xp to reach level 20, and it seems it's taken you 2 years. In your second life you will need 3.1m xp

Before you TR, I would strongly advise making some shroud items. If you're doing another artificer life, a concordant opposition, sp item, and a triple positive repeater (you could make a lit 2 instead if you feel like getting the extra materials)

TR'ing actually provides quite a small benefit compared to leveling up to 25, I would normally only advise it for people who know exactly what they're aiming for, or simply prefer heroic content to epic content.

    ^^^ QFT ^^^

If OP didn't even know what to call it, some research on how to do it is a must.

I read an awesome thread recently with advice/suggestions on being prepared for a TR, but danged if I can refind it now.

So it would be better just to stay at 20 instead of "TR" and if i wanna make another chracter just create him?

if you're planning on TR'ing without Twink gear, and planning on TR'ing into a different class, then that would be my recommendation.

What do you get if you "TR." isnt it just upgrade from 28pt to 32pt build and the class past life?

No, the first TR takes you to 34 pt, and the second one you do takes you to 36 point.

For each PL you get a stacking (up to 3) passive past life feat for free and an active PL feat you can select using your normal feat slots.

For example a Wizzy gets +2 spell pen, so 3 past lives you give you +6 to your spell pen that stacks with all other spell pen boosts.

The biggest boost you get, especially for a 28 pt build like yours, is that first TR.

It also lets your replay lower level content, now twinked out a bit, which a lot of people enjoy.

My recommendation, level into epic for at least long enough to get the PDK favor for the city and at least one full epic destiny. Then TR at least once (your epic destiny XP lives through TR)

So I level up to 20 once, get good gear. TR then not able to use new gear but get 34pt and PL? then TR again with more gear i cant use, and get 36pt and PL?

    couple quistions:
    -how do you "twink gear"
-A chracter can become super powerful if they TR same class 3 times?
-do you unlock that PL forever so it is on every created character and feat selection list?

So would this work I get arti to 20, get 34 pt build and arti PL on my next chracter which is a fighter, then same thing back into a Arti? so end i would have 2 arti PL and 1 fighter PL and i could pick 1 in the feat list?

    Two last class quistion:
-What is better at endgame for dps wise/solo Arti or Sorc (3rd TR) and more enjoyable to your opinnion.

Or if there is a way to make a arti that can cast wizard/sorc arcane spells? (Fireball, Web, Etc.)

    Not exactly.

Twink gear is lower level gear you acquire to use in your next life. GS items and weapons are far superior to any level 11/12 gear you could otherwise get from questing, and will be usable at least 4 or 5 levels before you'd normally be able to run that raid. So making GS gear for your next life is big bonus. You will also be able to grab some useful items in the very low level ranges, or no min level, to pass to your low level next life self.

Your PL feats are only available on the reincarnated character. They're not available on all new toons.

This is the fundamental problem with TRing as currently constituted. The power increase is very very small relative to the power increase from epic destinies. Look at a fighter with 3 fighter past lives: they have +3 to-hit and +3 to tactics. Now look at a fighter with 0 past lives and Legendary Dreadnought. They have +5 to-hit, +5 and +0.5[W] to-damage, +1 critical multiplier on 19 and 20, a whirligig attack style that is possibly a net DPS loss but still really fun, +50 HP, up to +6 to tactics, a super duper trash killing epic moment.

You could have both, but why would you bother doing 10 times the work for the first part that gives (much) less than a 10th of the benefit?
So would this work I get arti to 20, get 34 pt build and arti PL on my next chracter which is a fighter, then same thing back into a Arti? so end i would have 2 arti PL and 1 fighter PL and i could pick 1 in the feat list?
You can take any number of unlocked active past life feats. However, most of them are pretty useless and you only have so many feats you can buy anyway, so in practice most people take no more than two.

    Sorcerer and it's not close.

There are magic devices, but even with arti +levels on UMD, you can never Maximize or Heighten a wand. It would be a parlor trick, nothing more.

Just to add my 2 cents :

1st, wait till after update 17 to TR, lots of low level items are getting more powerful, and you might want them for your next life. Not to mention you might want to build up a store of augments

2nd, Make sure you plan out your TR class first. Get the gear for that class. Also, as someone mentioned before, it is 3.1 mil exp. As someone who just finished their first TR, i was woefully unprepared. Gear, i could certainly have done better. Class layout? mine was okay, but i wasn't prepared for how underpowered it would feel in mid levels(was great by 20 though). And check your quest list. Go complete those quests you never did on this life on elite, just to get an idea of how to play through them. Chances are you'll need to run them next life, and elite streaking really helps too, but as a mainly solo player, EE isn't always a viable option.

3rd: If you're going to make alts or TR's, Look at chronoscope loot too. The Abishai set is fairly good for level 5, and you'll want to farm some of the trinkets from Crystal Cove coming out soon (we hope)

4th, someone mentioned the TR checklist, here it is

    Well, not completely true.

A capstonned 20 Artificer with 3 Wiz PLs, 40 Int, and Wand Heightening 3 is getting a 38 DC with phantasmal killer wands. Since those are buyable from the Twelve, you can just keep taking shots until it works. Won't do much in EE, but still useful.

Then there's the Epic Winter's Wrath, which comes with wand maximizing built in.

Oh, and here's a link to a post on ways to help make sure you're ready to do a true reincarnate:
