    I am not a player of many characters, also I am a fan o monk class since D&D (not 3.5, the one before AD&D, and yes, mainly with house rules) and for records I am a fan of Martial Arts.

    Since I like monks, I played a lot with pure builds during three lifes that happened during the three years I've played DDO so far, in this stack you can count with Air/DEX builds, Water/WIS or even Fire/STR and with the various changes during the updates I always switched a little here and a little there in my build.

    This build is not the ultimate dps or the most self-sufficient you may find, but it fits my needs in gaming that are playability, fun and more fun. So, if you look for the ultimate DPS, move away, it would be better for both of us.

    So, I was a hElf pure monk build with cleric diletante to enable the use of scrolls, I enjoyed it a lot and the diletante added a layer of self-heal that was awesome but I went for more and eventually it leaded to the creation of this build.

    As a fan of Monks and Martial Arts I was not willing to break the pure monk thing but then I realized what I could do with multiclassing, but again I was not willing to break several monk levels then I started to search for a good build with the minimum level in other classes and I found it as 18 monk, 1 artificer and 1 druid.

    I did not made my level up with this build, so I know that it may not work for general level up purposes, maybe it work nice only in end game with a lesser reincarnation (you can take the levels the same way but choose different skills or feats).

    What points I want to improve with this building? The answer of this question came in couple, first was the DPS generation and second the Survaivability.

    Why Artificer? First for UMD, second because I was about to take the Rogue diletante (once I was already hElf not willing to do a TR soon and I have to get a diletante) instead the Cleric so for Sneak Damage purposes it would fit better, and third for trap skills (if this fit you, and it may fit me in the next version of this build).

    Why Druid? Since I broke the pure monk build, I looked carefully if a 19/1 would work, but I found that the only thing you may earn with the 19th level was the "Empty Body" (since you've already lost capstone, DR 10/Epic, last level of slow fall and unarmed strike last increase) so there was no logic reason to get that and then looking the other classes I found druid the best for: Ram's Might. Yes, 1 level for +3 damage +1 To Hit was far enough better than "Empty Body".

    The Artificer level allows you to cast Enchant Weapon (that maybe can be improved with Spellcasting implemention itens) that grants you +1 to damage/attack that works fine if you don't have any other weapon enchantment. Also, Enchant Armor that will grant you a +1 AC.

    It worked nice so far on Epic Elite quests, but no, I did not soloed it.

    In the end, what we have? +4 self-sustained to damage and +2 to hit, +1 AC, Wolf or Ironforged to open levers (and only this), a good UMD rate without the need to switch equipments that allow you to have Stoneskin Scrolls to replace the 10/epic in a general way, Heal scrolls, Shield, Nightshield, Great Heroism, and all scroll stuff with generally 100% activation (ok, not the artificer ones, but since you can't cast in yourself deadly or silver weapons with scrolls it helps only in groups if someone need silver for DR purposes or something alike)

    But what had you lost in the way? Capstone (+2 wisdom and +1 enhacement on Ki is very nice but honestly I don't miss them) DR 10/Epic ( Equipment or Stoneskin at will scrolls can cover it) +0.5[W] on unarmed strike (generally 1-3 damage) that was totally covered with the Ram's Might + Enchant Weapons, Last "Slow Fall" (Feather Fall Scrolls cover it) and few HP.

    (In the epic levels I got Improved Unarmed Strike and Vorpal Strikes feats and I spent the stat point in STR.)

    This build is working with 36 points with 2 Monk past lifes, right now I have +4 tomes to all stats so I don't know if I will keep the same distribution of points as soon as I can perform another Lesser Reincarnation.

    Right now I am with Earth stance, not Fire, and with the Tortoise path I found a few times without enough Ki (this maybe can be solved by switching to fire stance to farm Ki and back to Earth) and I am thinking about switching it to Crane, but I am not sure yet.

    With the +4 on INT I will probably put some points in disable device and switch the other Stat points (yet thinking about it) in the next Lesser Reincarnation.

    Yes, this build need a lot of equipments, right now what I use in a solid way is:

    Min II Helm (mainly for HP but thinking about switch it for another GS)
    Shintao Cord (for Shintao Monk set)
    Planar Focus of Prowess +8 STR (for Planar conflux set)
    Adamantine Cloak of Wolf (Switching for Mabar one when needed or even Adamantine Bear)
    Epic Spare Hand (with Thoughness crafted plus one free transparent Slot)
    Epic Ring of the Stalker (Crafted with Exceptional Strenght +1 and Greater False Life)
    Epic Gloves of the Claw (for the Claw set)
    Madstone Boots (or Epic Boots of Corrosion in the lack of anything better)
    Kyosho's Ring (with Holy Burst crafted and for Shintao Monk set)
    Epic Bracers of the Claw (for Claw set)
    Spider-spun Caparison (with Alchemical +1 armor)
    Tharne's Googles (like Madstone in the lack of anything better)
    Quiver of Alacrity (mainly for the 30% strinding at lvl 1 slot free)

    I use Antipode most the times and it is not yet unlocked till the 3rd tier but I switch a lot handwraps (like any other good monk) with Grave or Epic of Endless Light (still trying to finish my alchemical).

    So, this is the build and the equipment, in Epic Destinies I use GM of Flowers with Sense of Weakness, Legendary Tactics and Brace for Impact twists but I am not 100% with it yet.

    Anything in this build can be switched at any moment but the core of it is a Dark Monk with mostly monk levels and a great play factor for the game.

    P.S.: If you have any suggestion to improve it, go ahead, maybe I will find it nice and I can even try it.

    P.P.S.: For the future I am thinking about go hOrc (to increase the pure damage) or even back to Human but I am not sure about it as well, I prefer to wait U17 changes to make any great changes.

    2nd arti level gives you +time on potions so 35seconds haste etc enhancements open up for 30% scroll mastery which is huge for self scrolling monks with big amp you wil go from around 200 to close to 300s and some more arti spells the ability to add more skill points to ol/dd/search at full ranks not halves.
