    Default Help Me With My AA Exploiter

    Hey all.I have a Elf AA Exploiter collecting dust.Its about time to level him up and get some EDs.Currently stuck at lvl 14.What i want the build to do is ranged damage and be able to melee when necessary.Currently i'm finding the melee aspect of the build abit lacking.Below is the build.Mind you its only till lvl 14.Anyway to up his DPS/survivability is greatly appreciated.Thanks all for the advises in advance.
    Was thinking of turning the toon into a 12/6/2 but lets see what all the forum gurus can come up with. =)

    Hi,

    I've found more rogue levels to be useful on a build like this.

    Since you are qualifying for your PRE by race, not class, you don't need 18 ranger levels. Exploiters are usually tempests who are taking 18 levels to qualify for the third tier of their PRE.

    The main arguments for taking more ranger levels are access to level 4 spells and more favoured enemies/increased FE damage.

    Level 4 ranger spells are good, but so is extra sneak attack damage. If you are able to melee without taking aggro, or have a blinding weapons, those extra SA dice plus additions from gear and enhancement can really make a big difference to your damage output against vulnerable targets.

    Still, there are certainly other ways to do it. Six levels of fighter has a lot going for it too.

    Rgr 11 / rog 7 / ftr 2 is one option; trade lvl 4 spells and a FE for more sneak atk & skill pts. Rgr 15 / rog 3 / ftr 2 is unconventional, but it gets you lvl 4 spells (FOM & CSW) and 4th FE.

    Feats: 7 base + 2 ftr + 2 epic = 11 total. You need the 3 AA pre-reqs (PBS/WF:R/MT); to that I would add Toughness and IC:Ranged & Slash (or Pierce). You have a few options for the remaining 5:

    • Melee DPS: Power Atk/Cleave/Great Cleave/Overwhelming Critical; OC affects all weapons, not just melee. Maybe add khopesh as well.
    • Ranged DPS: Precision & Combat Archery (req's base DEX 21) when the latter gets fixed.
    • Self-healing: Quicken with Maximize and/or Emp Heal (the latter works with Rejuvenation Cocoon as well).
    • Survivability / flavor: Least & Lesser Shadow DMs would add Invisibility & Displacement.

    Just messing with the builder, but here's an example that's focused on heals & ranged DPS:

    Hi,

    Combat Archery looks like a nice feat, but I don't believe it is working properly at the moment.

    If you take it and it's still broken you can always try your luck with a feat swap.
