    Default Cannith Challenge Runners

Is there a channel for Cannith Challenges or any players that run these challenges on a regular basis? I'm trying to learn the challenges to earn some gear but would prefer to run with other players.

As we all. But challenges aren't so popular nowadays or are soloed/dualed by power gamers. Though i would love to find party or channel speced for cannith challenges too.
And that was without even a single drop of rum.

Orien player. Main: Youuta - pretty much everything so far, Mamoru - shiradi wiz, Salhad - rogue and more.

If they took dungeon scaling out of House C challenges and less ingredients per higher level, I guarantee you'll find more groups for it.

Tip: holding level 20 will net you the most lesser ingredients to make the base items.

So much easier when solo or duo as opposed to in a full group. One method of learning is from going to ddo wiki and reading the strategy of each challenge. You'll find far more success if all party members have the foreknowledge and ability to solo the main objective of each challenge.

Each party member that can not is a liability and will net far less gain for the time spent for the entire group.

Personally I had to have guildmates that I've known for a couple years with lots of patience that took a hour out of their gameplay to walk me through each challenge. You'll be hard pressed to find a stranger willing to teach, my recommendation is to make friends or join a guild with helpful members. The other thing is you waste far less time doing easier challenges and trading the ingredients as opposed to doing the challenges for specific ingredients.

I cant say for your server, but in my experience most who actually enjoy the challenges tend to favor them among other reasons because they are very friendly to just jumping in and getting them done without having to spend time waiting on a group to fill. They are a place where those who build in the spirit of true D&D adventurers to be ready to adapt to changes and the unexpected, to look after oneself while protecting the down trodden kobolds fills one with a satisfaction for making something other then a cookie cutter cog for party wheel that easily falls apart when one person( healer) drops.

The fact is especially when working with an unknown, ones odds of success in a challenge can drop drastically. Challenges are what keep me logging in now and then as I truly enjoy them, and the original crystal cove alot. However alot of that as I allude to above is the complete lack of need to wait on a group to get it done.

To much of the first yearish era of waiting half an hour or more for groups to fill has forever tainted my own view ofcourse and now waiting even a minute for another person is just too much of my time on a game wasted not playing.

I'd totally make a channel for this, but I will probably slide into being annoyed and logging fairly quickly. Like a half-melted stick of butter.

    Hi,
I would need to make a couple of items from the challenges.
You can send me a tell when you're online if u want to make a group to farm.

My toons are all members of the guild The Twelve.
    Faulken, Feylune, Lhasa, Rakoon, Runestone.

I'll make a channel tonight when i log on. I'll name it orienchallenges. Just now reading about how to make a channel. To join it just type /joinchannel orienchallenges. If someone types this in before i do then they will create the channel. For the sake of laziness one word all not capitalized.

I have toons on Orien of levels 7, 15, and 20. I'm not an uber player by any standard, but i can complete any of the challenges at level solo (with hireling). I love showing new players how i do them. If the scaling makes them too difficult for the group we can always run them on a lower level for the purposes of learning.

For a fact, the challenges are relatively easier the lower level you can run them at. For toons that are at level. At the starting levels of 4,8,15 for the various challenges is by far the best time to run them if possible. They can be genuinely brutal for a group due to scaling at the highest range of levels for the challenge.

IIRC, caps don't matter. It must be one word or it'll make a completely different channel named 'orien' with the password 'challenges'.

I will say, though, for the sake of simplicity, type out your LFM in there somewhat like this: "Level 10 player looking to run Dr. Rushmoore: Behind the door/CR 11."

It will make it easier to read and keep non-LFM posts out of orienchallenges unless you're discussing them or helping to not clog up the channel and make it hard to get groups together. It would even be better if you could start a group and talk in party chat just to keep the channel clear.

I made the channel last night and nobody joined it. So i'm not too worried about it becoming clogged. I'm not following you about how lfm's relate to the channel though. I never make lfm's for challenges. I run them solo. The whole idea behind the channel was to help people learn to do the challenges. Or for people who like to run challenges to see if there are any others around who might be interested in grouping for them.

Sorry I haven't been on, I've been busy with school this past week. I tried both channels, but think that the pw one will work.

    /joinchannel orien challenges

So how does your channel work? I've never joined a channel with a password. Does the password come up as an extra step?

Looking at this it is exactly the opposite of what i would join a channel for. I would try to keep lfm's OUT of the channel, as that is what the social grouping panel is for. I would view this as a social channel, so that people could chat and feel more comfortable with each other, etc. and group organically rather than the anonymity of an lfm listing.
