I had tier3 L20 gloves and ring, put them in the barter box, came back with no valid recipes. But the items were allowed to be put into the barter box...I tested with a piece of random trash loot, and it wouldn't let me place it into the window.
New higher level monsters. Ran into half-orc pirates at level 23 (much less irritating than the minotaurs), and "Raider Captain Troll Faced Thom" as a redname. Thom was a human, killing him did successfully add him to the monster manual.
Area is no longer as restrictive with public area spells. I was able to throw a lot of AOE spells in the Cove that are prohibited in general city areas. Hirelings still forbidden.
Notable so far:
New tier of gem for upgrades. Star Sapphire and Star Ruby. Presumably for running Cove on L26-30 difficulty.
New recipe in the barter box to "trade down" your gems. All trade-downs are at a 1:1 ratio.
Star Sapphire --> Diamond --> Ruby --> Amethyst --> Obsidian --> Alabaster
Star Ruby --> Emerald --> Sapphire --> Topaz --> Amber --> Pyrite
(Shouldn't the Star Sapphire and Star Ruby swap places?)

Upgrade2: 750 Gold Doubloons, 120 Star Rubies, 100 Star Sapphires, 1000 (!!!) dragonshards. Upgrades Impulse to 120... I have trouble imagining something less worth the bother than this.
New endless potion, with a lengthy upgrade path. First one costs 50 copper doubloons.

Total dragonshards needed: 5500 (that's 19 perfect cove runs, with 300 shards each run).
The flasks are not exclusive, but I bought 2 of the basic ones and drank one...the timer applied to both of them. So no point in having more than one.
Thought: Effect should be changed to work full strength on Warforged (assuming it doesn't now).
