No spoilers, but Chapter 4 is already awesome. (I'd already read the ebook of the prologue, which was incredible).

In the words of TS Eliot...

Sorry tried to read that series and found it extremely boring and not to my taste at all. I know it has a lot of fans. But to be fair I didnt like Martin's series either. I prefer Cook, Saberhagen mainly.

It gets captivating once the characters go their seperate ways, particulalry matrim cauthon. Very amusing to say the least.

Back to thread, I think sanderson did an amazing job and was glad jordan's wife and he worked on it togetehr. Speaking of sanderson, is a fourth mistborn book, takes place centuries later in the industrial era, ala western. Think allomancers with guns.

    Default sigh

I loved, I mean loved the series until about the 7th book. I had to put it down after that. Stories that seemed to be going somewhere just ended with no reason, stories that were there dragged on with no action, the girls all seemed to be constantly naked with "their hands folded under their breasts" over and over. Two pages of a description of a floral print on someone's outfit, etc. Characters with full names and full back plots would be introduced then never mentioned again.

The first book blew me away, the others were equally good. It just seemed like the plot dissolved.

Well, basically he kinda tuned the characters' personalities to his own writing style. Which isn't really so bad, adds to the comedic dialog.

It isn't jordan by any means, but I don't think many could have done it better. Particularly because they were good friends and jordan let him know which crucial points (character development along with plot) needed covered long before his death.

Such as rand finally coming to terms with his situation and finding a sort of remorseful peace.

Those stories do tie down to an end, just took awhile because he was introducing many other plot elements. Is a very complex world and can be hard to keep up with so many plots running at one time. But it all came out well. You missed the part where perrin went brutally savage, and rand started to break down in a seriously dangerous manner. And mat is mat, lol, though he gets funnier and discovers his sense of responsibility (against his will, of course).

    Default Wow

I read all the books Jordan wrote and then lost track of the series. After I heard he had died and another author picked it up, I just assumed he'd make a mess of it. So I just dropped it like a dead letter and went on with my life.

Sounds like I may have made a mistake there

+1. I actually took the night off of work for a few extra reading hrs. Chapter 4 was awesome! Now just to get as far as I can before Fri, when Mr. Sanderson and Robert Jordan's wife are going to sign it for me...

When you meet harriet, could you tell her that some stranger online asked you to relay that her husband's books helped a troublemaking jerk to shape up his life, in hopes to be more noble like the characters, and that it worked out in the end? I will give you 5000 awesome points. Also will give plat if you're on argo.

    Man am I jealous

Back on topic, sanderson even did a great job with the new ansillary character names he created. Off to the books!

    Poke, out.
