    Default Barbarian ranged build?

Trying for a barb-manyshot build... switch to GS great axe when on timer... thinking about it and seems pretty nice... i think im going to run this for barb life cause barb is a boring life... tell me what you like about it, if anything, or what i could do to improve. The gear listed is what i have and i dont really want to farm for any more. More about feat choice and ability point layout. My past lives are in here as well, along with the tomes ive eaten... not really interested with ED's seeing as how when i get 5 ED lvls i will TR.

Might be sexier after the enhancement pass that may make 10k stars into a feat. Otherwise non-horc barb without the tier 3 of the prestige seems sort of lackluster. You also don't have evasion and can't do traps/locks and your UMD is low. Since you're TRing anyway you may as well go with 2 rogue levels instead of fighter or at a minimum artificer.

For this build, it doesn't seem like you're getting very much from going further and further into Barb past the min required for a past life (7)

    Some suggestions :
6 Artificer - Traps + UMD + Battle Engineer + Elemental Damage boost
    6 Ranger
    8 Barb

7 Rogue Sneak attack damage, traps, Assassin 1
    7 barb 6 ranger.

Ty, dont really care to much for evasion or rogue lvls... UMD not so much either... when you got rogue lvls people want you to do traps evasion also means they'll try to give you the swim in crucible. i like the 2 extra feats from fighter, and the way i figure is that the extra feats do alot better than any evasion would do for me, But ty for the advice.

For TRing, self sufficiency is king. I second the barb/ranger/rogue flavors. If you care about cap, the build just isn't great for endgame no matter what. Evasion (assuming high enough reflex to make saves, pretty easy to do on a TR) will give you more than two feats will even come close to. And self healing with UMD is king as well.

Point blank, evasion and UMD will do FAR more for you levelling than two feats. It isn't even close.

You're free to take the 2 fighter instead of 2 rogue - but the 2 rogue would be more survivable.

In any event, my 3 barb lives got much easier as I took less and less barbarian levels. (First was an 18/2 barb fighter, horrendous for leveling, second was 12/6/2 barb ranger rogue, final had less barb and more rogue).
Not trying to change what you want to do - but you did ask for advice on the boards, so I'll give the optimal advice - I really think rogue is far better than fighter, even with a THF barb. (Mine were twf since my other lives were all twf).

ty for the advice but i rarely ever solo, so for me i would always have a rogue with me and always have a healer, i drink pots and use wands. evasion is good for some builds but i just dont like evasion on toons unless i can have 35+ reflex at lvl 13... if i cant have reflex that high at lvl 13 i nvr worry about evasion. but ty for advice. i think once i need another barb life i might try the rogue lvls out... but with decent gear for trapping would i have to put alot into intel? cause i really like having high str dex con rather than spreading out.

EDIT: as well as the UMD that would make other enhancements starved and i really like my balance and jump. i really only like UMD on Char based toons... or i take Helf dilly

I would suggest taking Ranger at level 1 for the Skill Points...

Or if you decide to take a ROG level or 2...obviously start with ROG at first level.

If this is just a "race to 20 & TR" build, what about a 6 / 6 / 8 split instead? This gets you 2 extra feats, Haste Boost II, and lets you bump up some of your feats sooner.
