Dr. Who soundtracks. As they are mostly acoustical, works in well with most all questing.

Metal (like a lot of folks it seems). The epicness, energy level, subject matter and general emotional tone just goes with fantasy gaming very well. I have in fact been through nearly the entire Blind Guardian discography the last few days. Some other bands:

Rhapsody of Fire - over-the-top epically cheesy fantasy metal
Kamelot - finely crafted powermetal with some fantasy overtones
Epica - probably the best female fronted metal band going right now
Amon Amarth - if the viking longships had sound systems, they would have played these guys
Eluveitie - excellent swiss folk metal
Finntroll - finnish (obviously!) folk metal that sounds most excellent after a beer or two

I also love listening to movie soundtracks whilst slaying. My most recent favorite is the Hobbit soundtrack, and also the LOTR trilogy soundtrack has gotten a lot of plays. Other favs are Basil Poledorus (Conan,Starship Troopers), Harry Gregson-Williams (Kingdom of Heaven, Narnia), Jerry Goldsmith (The Mummy, 13th warrior).

Anyways .. my playlist on last.fm if you are interested.

Let the Bodies hit the floor- Drowning pool
    Breaking the law- Judas Priest
King Nothing / Master of Puppets - Metallica
    Immigrant song- Led Zeppelin
    Closer- Nine inch Nails
    Schism / Sober - Tool
    Barracuda - Heart
Toxicity - System of a down (I've never been able to figure out why the lulls in the song match up with lulls in the dungeon)

Anything by RUSh... in particular, the lastest CD which is a great soundtrack to the harbor chain that takes you to Eveningstar.

When things get all actiony I find Faint is a good song.

When spoot REALLY goes down I switch over to disturbed, sometimes drowning pool.

And for those EXTREMELY hairy situations, I break out the magic schoolbus theme.

    Let's see...

A player with Monks predominantly in their toon list...

A tendency to play solo against respawning enemies...

    The choice is obvious:

    The Matrix Reloaded Original Soundtrack.

Bonus points when using "Chateau" during "The Weapons Shipment" and "Burly Brawl" in "Devil Assault."

My wife and daughter got me listening to Deadmau5.

I like it. I go into a trance and 5 hours later, my TR has gained 3 levels and I remember nothing!

Mostly classical stuff - a lot of the time orchestral sound tracks from movies. Mellow stuff mostly. I've turned off both DM Voice and in game music.
