Lightbulb Werewolves and Dragons should be made playable

This is just some random idea, but I think Werewolves (nicknamed Shifters or something) and Dragons should be made playable. Dragons can shrink down to human-sized forms, and Werewolves can change at will back and forth. So what do you think? Should Dragons and Dragons be made playable characters? Because that will be awesome!

Awfully ambitious. Here, I was just thinking that drow, elves, and warforged should be made playable.

There is a race on eberron called shifters and we should be able to play them as to true lycanthropes or dragons PLEASE NO!

Shrinking them down to human size would just be stupid. If you want to play a man-or-PC-sized dragon, you could play a young or juvenile one (depending on color). So yeah, dragons could work .

Concerning weres, yes. I think this game should adapt the template concept from pnp, and weres could easily be done then.

I didn't understand the fascination with Druids, and same for lycanthropes (OTHER than as a flavor build - that I get).
I think dragons would be OP.

Your not very familar with Eberron are you weres are nearly extinct thanks to the sliver flame you pretty much have to go to FR to find them

Well, now that we have that pesky rift open to the Realms... who can say if a few don't sneak over to Eberron, yes? Just saying if there is enough story-justification to get us to the Realms, the same justifications can be used in reverse.

That said, I'd also vote No to players being true lycanthropes - but I'd love to see Shifters, and have been saying that for years now. It's such a shame that WF have been the only setting-specific race, and Eberron has some pretty cool native races.

I'd also vote No to players being able to play mini-dragons - even Dragons in Humanoid form are pretty powerful beings.

I imagine if weres started coming to Eberron the flame would start a new crusade to snuff them out that might make a interesting quest chain though.

    Eh...

As much as I absolutely love dragons, I'm going to have to say "no", simply because it won't work.

Neither would half-dragon due to the setting.

3.5 Dragonborn, however, would work and actually have rules already set up for being a part of Eberron's setting.

(Then again, I have nothing against 4E dragonborn. If your biggest argument against 4E dragonborn is simply that they're from 4E, your argument is on terrible foundations)
Once I get my moods under control, I might actually get a character past level 7... ooh, shiny!

Paladins got some love! Now for Warpriests...

if we area talking about bringing in eberron base races. im all for changelings.
(shape-shifting human\doppelganger breed) it will also be easy to put them into the game. they can just change to what ever other race there is(not halfing tho. same size +/- 1 feet.).
ohh i can see it new. hit the polymorph bar and you are back into toon creation window to pick how you will look next :0

dragons as playable races.. no, atleast not at character creation.

    However:

    werewolf -
epic Feat lycanthrope(wolf): requires one of 'toughness or die hard' and one of (past life druid, natural fighting) STR 21.
    - shifts you into were wolf form, were wolf form grants dr5/silver. +4 wild bonus to STR DEX and CON, -4 penalty to INT, WIS, CHA. +10 racial to jump, bluff, hide, move silent, 30% striding. Acts like druid wild shape regarding weapons use/feat/spell use.

    werebear -
epic Feat lycanthrope(bear): requires one of 'toughness or die hard' and one of (past life druid, natural fighting) CON 21.
    - shifts you into were bear form, were bear form grants DR10/- +8 wild bonus to STR and CON, -4 penalty to INT, CHA. +10 racial bonus initmidate, PRR, +10 natural armour. Acts like druid wild shape regarding weapons use/feat/spell use.

    dragon -
epic Feat wild shape dragon: requires wild shape elemental(fire) or wild shape elemental (water). WIS 21 or CHA 21. natural fighting OR past life druid OR past life sorc OR epic mental toughness.
    - shifts you into a JUVANILE dragon of type selected. you gain + 4 to STR, CON, CHA. gain access to a breath weapon 5 times per rest (as draconic). +30 racial bonus to jump, 50% elemental absorbtion of dragons element. Acts like druid wild shape regarding weapons use/feat/spell use, Exception: spells of the element mathcing your dragon type do not suffer the cool down penalty.

    -----------------------------
    Natures warrior 3:
gain access to were wolf and were bear forms. Additonaly while in were wolf form your attacks deal 2d6 extra sneak attack and D8 bleed damage. While in wear bear form you gain +10 prr and +50% threat.

    -----------------------------
Polymorph/ shape shift spells to be added for arcanes/druids with a nice selection of base animal/magical beast types.

lvl 9 arcane spell: shape shift (dragon) to be included.

Unlike the advanced wild shape feats polymorphed/shapeshifted casters DO NOT get access to special abilities.
Further their STR/DEX/CON is SET to a given stated value.

eg a wizard with a STR of 12 polymorphing into a dire wolf gets his STR set 19.
conversely a wizard with a base str of 20 and +9 str from gear polymorphing into a dire wolf gets his STR set to 19.

The poly morph line was supposed to make for versatile spells, not uber gish builds (we have Tukaws for that already )

Yes, we do need furry options in Character creation. Warforged and druids just don't cover my feral needs!

We should just be able to play Rhakshasa... model is already made.... cept... fix the backward hands.

And, Yugoloth already made... so open up!
