As long as we get to join in the purge when the effects of the moons kick in.

The Silver Flame get a certain amount of stick for the purges, but they were actually quite justified.

Regarding Dragons, Kobolds or Dragonborn would be possible. (Although the non-mammal mammaries disturbs me as well.) Actual dragons, no.

Because that will be awesome!
Well druids can change back and forth from human to wolf or bear, so that part's covered. As for dragons, I think there should be more dragons to kill.

    Default new races

I think kalashtar, warforged scouts, kobolds, gnomes, aasimar, tieflings, shifters, and changelings would all be appropriate and relativity easy to implement

dragons (way too powerful), half dragons (can't exist due to lore and a +4 level adjustment is too large), and were-creatures (same as half dragon) are not needed and should not be in the current game. The last two should not happen until we have forgotten realms completely fleshed out (levels 1 to cap completely playable there) and even then is probably a bad idea.

orcs and other L.A. 2 creatures could be implemented, but it would work just like drow

dragon born are just meh in my opinion

Honestly, my list of races to add is Aasimar, Tiefling, Shifter, Kalashtar, and the subraces of all the existing races. This includes Warforged Scout, Psiforged, Sun Elf/Grey Elf, Half-Drow (Yes, there's a subrace of Half-elf, and they aren't as cool as you'd hope...at all), etc.

With all of that in game, it would cover pretty much any build that could be thought of, most reasonable roleplaying ideas, and wouldn't stray outside of 'civilized' races. It would also minimize the amount and severity of LA races, meaning less drow-treatment. And wouldn't require re-writing all the kobold dialogue in the game to account for someone being a kobold.

Perhaps instead of Werewolves and Dragons we could be happy with...

    Furry Gnomes and Kobolds.

I would love to play a Kobold.
After a little Tolkien I am usually up for anything.

Or, better yet, if spellcasters could get more of their spells and we could get elemental-shapes for savants, polymorph self, etc...

but yeah, I was really hoping primal avatar would have a juvenile dragon shape for druids. No dice.

Dragonborn, via 3.5 Races of the Dragon, would be interesting for a dragon-type race. They are, per that book (their introduction), still a created race. They're not born that way, despite the name. And no, the dragons hunted down half-dragons (like Vol). Dragonborn puzzle them as a "race" because they do not have Dragonmarks, no keep them in the transition. So their part in the Prophecy is unclear.
They would, however, present a specific challenge. Even ignoring that Bahamut created them to deal with Tiamat (both of whom don't actually exist per se in Eberron), Dragonborn are still pretty much anti-Chromatic dragon so DDO would need more evil dragon missions. Maybe don't make Dragonborn, if used, available right off the bat on character creation. More like DDO store option.

I do agree that gnomes and Aasimar might work, though Aasimar have that pesky level adjustment.

    Default Lizardmen

Now this is just my wishful thinking but, I once played in a home brewed campaign where we each had 2 characters, mine were twin Lizardmen born from the same egg, they were Poison Dusk Lizardmen, and they were bounty hunters, multiclassed as ranger/rogue/fighters, I enjoyed playing them and would love top see Lizardmen added as a player race, Poison Dusk Lizardmen in particular. With Lizardmen being introduced in the coming expansion I think it should be easy to add them into the game eventually.

Default Dragons would be cool but. . .

Dragons are utterly cool and there have been official D&D rules published for playing them. Alas, the Draconomicon, which I believe is intended for version 3 rules, is mainly aimed at referees who want more depth in their dragons, although there is a small section on dragons as player characters.Unfortunately, it requires a campaign built from the ground up for dragon PCs, which DDO is not.Council of Wyrms was for AD&D and that had extensive guidelines for playing dragons but again the campaign pretty much had to be designed from the ground up for it.Letting players play a junvenile dragon would work. And when people say they want an adult dragon just inform them that their dragon will certainly reach adulthood -- in about 100 years. If there were an MMO which offered dragons as PCs I"d almost certainly give it a try. I know the old Horizons did, and I played it for some time, but alas it had some serious issues which had nothing to do with dragons.I'm not familiar with dragonkin and the like, but they might be cool, and a whole lot easier to incorporate into a campaign. If I had a group of PnP gaming friends nowadays I'd be tempted to put together a dragon as PC campaign.

Dragons in DDO - Your Options are:

Kobold: Highly popular amogst the DDO community and its baffling why the devs have not released this race yet...with modified stats to suit the DDO Kobolds (their lore has shifted quite a bit from PnP Kobolds...also PNP Kobolds have a total of like -10 stats and like +2 dex IIRC...yeah +2Cha/Dex, -2str/wis would probably fit best)

Dragonborn: For some reason Dragonborn seem to receive immense hate on these forums...I have no idea but I've always liked them but to be fair I hate playing humans the more exotic and unique a race the more fun it is to role-play

Half-Dragons: No idea what these are to be honest...I prefer races with names...I always give any Half-Races in my PnP campaigns unique names...ie. Half-Ogres in my current campaign are known as the Ochrict. It may be why I prefer Kender to Halflings...or it might be that Kender are more whimsical and carefree as opposed to sneak thief tricksters.

"Werewolfs" in DDO - Your options are: Lycans or Shifters...likely shifters since their from Eberron

The most commonly requested races in order based a count done a while back and the continuing trend are: Kobolds, Gnomes, Tiefling/Aasimar, Shifters/Some sort of Psionic Race&Class, A bunch of subraces, the occasional request for something ridiculous like Dragons or Beholders.

The sub-races imo should not be a entire new race (the elf races are the worst offender here clocking in at FOUR..Sun,Drow, Normal and Half)...actually the E-Pass UI is perfect to implement this...basically the difference would be Stat modifiers and a different Racial tree.

Something like this. (Random Subraces added purely for example)

    Human - Human,Aasimar, Tiefling, Shadar-Kai, Genasi
Elf - Drow, Sun Elf, Elf, Half-Elf
Dwarf - Hill Dwarf, Shield Dwarf, Duergar
Small Races - Gnomes, Halflings, Goblins, Kobolds, Pixie, Bullywug
    Constructs - Bladeforged, Warforged, Shardmind
Anthromorphs - Dragonborn, Hengeyokai, Shifters, Kenku

Note: The above assumes PDK and Morninglord get turned into Prestige classes like they should have been in the first place.

This would also allow the Race part of character to be less cramped as right now there's not really any room for more buttons without making them smaller and smaller so separating them into categories like the classes are (Melee,Spell Specialist)

Dragons would make a poor player race in DDO, I'm sorry to say. You see, it'd be very hard to fit them into quests, due to their size.
