    The problem lies in it only working if everything in his proposal is added verbatim. If parts are left out or altered to meet standards the devs...or someone further up the food chain...feel need to be met, the whole thing can fall apart. Even as is, it's possible for players to not meet the needed criteria and likely that players will cause hardship to other due to not understanding it.

    Don't forget 3 posters, 2 of which have almost never posted before this month and this thread. Practically all of their posts they have ever done in these forums is spam with a few words of "I agree" and "great job Uur" tacked on.

    What, you mean like one of them offering to join a guild to see the numbers and another actually doing it?

    Yeah Yeah yeah, I get it - it's the thought that counts though; change the mechanics in such a cruel way solely to punish people who don't play, so they lose their guild?

    Well, that'd for sure have an impact on if I ever gave Turbine another penny, in sooooo many other ways, of course!

    I am happy with the current changes to the system the devs made, as well... don't get me wrong!

    One person has proposed a system where by we will return to the old system in spirit, and has continually reposted the same proposals over and over again.

    The changes as he sees fit would cause me to leave the game; personally.

    That's why the the thread is a mess; and I agree, the devs are too quiet for this matter; the thread should be locked until they are ready to chat with us about a new system

    I don't hate small guilds. Frankly I don't think about guild size enough to have any strong emotions, though I'll admit a preference to being in a guild in which there is someone on to play with whenever I log in, that could be just be a few other players with a 24/7 DDO habit for all I care. I just don't like any guild leveling system that can possibly add a detrimental effect a guild or member. As long as nobody or no guild can possibly ever be worse off with guild levels than they would be without them, I could care less what system is used. Your system, even as written, doesn't fit that criteria.

    I'm not here to win or lose, but I refuse to accept any math that leaves a possibility for anyone to be unacceptable to a guild they wouldn't have been before the whole guild level mini-game was added. I'd rather revert to no levels, no ships and guild chat being the only perk than have a system in which anyone is worse off due to.

    The current system has totally eliminated that bias due to decay. Your plan would put that decay bias back into place.

    has been demonstrated many many many many times that current system only shifted the favoritism and put the pressure on the medium and smaller guilds to boot. the plan removes it.

    The only thing that has been demonstrated is your misunderstanding of the change that was made. The change the devs made did nothing at all to guilds with less than 10 players. The change reduced decay for all guilds with more than 10 players. And the change completely removed any possible decay increase from adding new members to ALL guilds of all sizes. It did nothing at all to "put the pressure on" any guild of any size at all. No guild has any more pressure on it than it had in the old system and many guilds have less.

    Completely 100% wrong, you couldn't be more wrong. No guild can get more decay by adding a player right now. The "pressure" as you put it is losing a bonus, this amounts to losing the flawless victory xp bonus when someone dies. It's the same thing as putting no -10% on an lfm. I don't want to be part of a small guild and would never join one but I'm not against reducing their decay but if you alienate casuals and new players by putting decay per person back in it can only move the day the servers shut down up to a closer date.

    As long as bonus is needed to combat decay there will be kicks from the small guilds. So there needs to be a change.
