    Default Stormforce, my custom Warforged/Artificer build, feel free to use it.

    Hello my fellow DDO friends, Gvex here.

    After vigorous research and planning I came up with a build that I would like to call, Stormforce.

    It's a Warforged/Artificer that focuses on force and electric spells aswell as archery, he's a great solo ability build, I wouldn't advise any new player to try and create this build as you'll need to have the 32 point build unlocked, you'll either need the 4 +2 tomes listed below (a must have for this build to be able to work) or a +2 Supreme Tome which would also work, it's your choice and of course you also need to have the warforged race and the artificer build available.

    Although saying such things if you're new don't let this get you down, I'm new and I have played the game for roughly two weeks now, you may be thinking by now 'well why are you making a build for other people when you have only played for roughly two weeks, this build will be wack'. Well I've played many many MMORPG's in my lifetime, although I'm only 20 years old I've played many for my age, and no MMORPG that I've played has had such a character creation system, seriously you can build anything you want, well knowing this I decided to log out of the game, quit my previous games.. yes quit them even though one of them I've spent over £1,000 on, I quit it for Dungeons & Dragons Online, I then opend my browser and got down to research so I can build a build that suits me and will help you wether you're a veteran player or a new player such as myself.

    I researched the warforged race and the artificer class for 2 days, I must say I learnt alot about every single race and class in the game, not just those inparticular.

    I then spent a day of research on the spells and enhancements to find out what was needed as prerequisites to unlock further enhancements that would empower your spells, I've literally memorized every spell and prereq needed to unlock other enhancements, I feel like such a nerd.

    I then spent a day learning about inscribing those spells to your character, which scrolls will be needed and which components will be needed for each scroll to be inscribed, this is very useful to know when inscribing new spells.

    I then spent an hour or so figuring out the best way to allocate my base ability points and how my tomes would effect each of those stats, and my ability boost increases (levels 4, 8, 12, 16, 20) this is what I came up with.

    Strength: 8
    Dexterity: 15
    Constitution: 14
    Intelligence: 18
    Charisma: 10

    1 point in dexterity at levels 4, and 8.
    1 point in intelligence at levels 12, 16, and 20.

    +2 Tome of dexterity at level 7: This enables you to get your IPS (Improved Precise Shot: Required a dexterity of 19).
    +2 Tome of constitution at level 7: Not essential, but this will help you, it's always good for the extra health.
    +2 Tome of intelligence at level 7: This will enable you to get your intelligence to 23 by level 20, not essential, but if you're going to take the spell which enables you do use your intelligence as damage rolls for your repeating crossbow, this is kinda important, note the spell is a rare.
    +2 Tome od Charisma: I took UMD which is a very important aspect to this build as it's not just meant for solo it's a support build for your allies, this will help with heals and clickies.

    So here's the actual build, I shouldn't need to explain anything more because I know for a fact his is one kick ass build, feel free to try it out, I'll be using it as my main on Ghallanda, oh and one more thing, with the enhancements note that you can change the skill boosts out at level 18 when you have better gear to enhance your skills such as search, spot and so on, until then keep the +4 skill boost enhancement on.

    EDIT: I've just noticed something wrong with the character planner and in-game content, the character planner grants you 4 AP at level 1 leaving you with 12 AP at level 3 (where I add my first set of enhancements, all of those enhancements come up to 12 AP) but in-game you're not granted the 4 AP at level 1 meaning by the time you're level 3 you only gain 8 AP so I'm unable to take the enhancements needed for my build.

    You're supposed to gain 1 AP per rank, at level 1 you get 4 ranks, same as any other level and then you can level up, but if you level up do you still have the ranks? because at level 3 it seems they're no longer added.

    SO I changed the build a little, and I hope this fixes the problem.

    Combat Archery requires base DEX 21 and is an obvious choice for a ranged build to take if possible. [ESF:Evo is the second epic feat I'd go with.] On my WF arty I started 8 / 17 / 16 / 17 / 6 / 6, took a +2 DEX tome, and put two lvl-ups into DEX (17 + 2 + 2 = 21).

    You can only go up to 20 levels on the character planner so I wasn't able to provide that information within the build.

    Note: The only reason there's a +2 tome for every stat is because I'll be eating a +2 Supreme Tome.

    Default Looking at it wrong

    Be careful with the planner and AP. The planner assumes that lvl1 gets 4 AP. This is both right and wrong. If you gain the XP for lvl2 without spending AP, you would be lvl1 with 4 AP (you would actually have 4 AP at Rank 4, the next rank being lvl2). The planner doesn't take Ranks into account. By this logic, when you level up to 3, you will only have 8 AP.

    Well, technically, level 1 does get 4 AP, you just don't get them right when you hit level 1. The way I look at the enhancements for each level is that those are the enhancements I will purchase as I play through that level, not the ones I will purchase when I hit that level.

    So looking at the date of the OP, I realize this build is nearly two months old and you are probably capped by now. But, feat-wise, it is nearly identical to the build in my sig. Gvexo, you might be interested to take a look at it. I provide a full breakdown of gear, DC's, etc., as well as plenty of feedback regarding the playability of the build.

    Depending on how much you will emphasize your int, I would recommend taking augment summoning at 3 and rapid shot at 4. That way you can swap out augment summoning toward endgame for insightful reflexes, which uses you int bonus for your reflex save instead of dex. Depending on how much you raise your int it can serve you much better than augment summoning at endgame. I hope you are enjoying your arti and welcome to DDO.
