    Lightbulb Vengeful Executioner [Firstlife Melee FVS]

    First of all this is an advanced build for 32pt Characters aimed for endgame with endgame resources and equipment. It is adaptable for a lower game profile but it wouldn't be as performing and would need some adjustments.

    Head: Epic Mask of Commedy
    Necklace: Health (+8) Necklace of Natural Armor (+6)
    Goggles: Supreme Tyrant Greensteel Goggles of Concordant Opposition {Spell Points + Charisma Skills}
    Trinket: Holy Symbol of Lolth
    Armor: Cormyrian Green Dragonplate Armor / Epic Red Dragonplate Armor
    Cloak: Adamantine Cloak of the Bear
    Bracers: Greater Convalescent Bracers of Superior Parrying
    Belt: Epic Spare Hand Belt
    Ring[1]: Seal of House Szind (+2 Insightful Charisma, for spell points at start of te quest) / Seal of House Dun'ro Bar (+2 Insightful Strength, +10 Stunning Blow) / Elemental Absorption (fire and electric) Rings Cannith Crafted / Ring with exceptional fortification 25% when needed.
    Ring[2]: Epic Ring of the Stalker
    Boots: Supreme Tyrant Greensteel Boots of Smoke {HP}
    Gloves: Netherese Grasps {Epic Elite}

    Main Hand: Epic Sword of Shadows / Epic Antique Greataxe (for bosses with DR)
    The main concept behind this build DPS is that Melee FVS DPS is a combination of Melee + Tsunami + DoT + Archon not only Melee: a Melee FVS that wants to DPS just with melee is doing lousy damage compared to the other true melee DPS. Remember to rotate the attacks using the autocleave timing to achieve higher number of attacks per minute.

    This build is extremely good at DPSessing endgame raid bosses and a very good at trash clearing being stunning capable in EE content (for orange nameds i recommend using Titan's Grip clickies) and good at kill stealing with Tsunami for stacking the first stacks of Master's Blitz.

    Defense-wise this build is EE ready as well (not as sturdy as DDD builds but still good, what it lacks in defense it makes up in mobility and offense, use those wings!): it should have 60 AC base unbuffed (with ship buffs) an can get higher with shield clickies, recitation, haste and other party buffs. It also has incorporeal and blur and some very nice self-healing ability. With a lot of displacement clickies and scrolls you can hold your own even against EE mobs.

    Side Note: This build can work as well with a substitution of one Fighter level with one Wizard Level (you can get one metamagic feat for free and 40 impulse spellpower... credits for this to Shinigami).
    Vengeful Executioner Media
    Ring of Fire CR30 6 Star 992pt. - Solo.

    Epic Elite - Detour - Solo.

    Epic Elite - Stay at Inn [speed run] - Solo.

    Epic Elite - House of Rusted Blades - Solo.

    Since your going human you should check out the synergies with celestia. Sword and Board with celestia is pretty interesting especially with the lower damage base that FVS get. You could go with more balanced stats thus having good dcs on your spells and do not terrible less dps then what you would do with an antique greataxe max strength build.

    ^ Cool idea there.

    Otherwise I generally like the build, simple to-the-point melee FvS, Az had similar concept but went Fury not Legendary. Personal opinion, Fury may just be more viable, Master's Blitz, not sure how fast you'll be killing stuff to sustain it...but could always just twist in Momentum Swing and go for more adrenaline-type higher crits. Just a thought, otherwise cool

    Well i might be able to take master blitz if i drop something ... the fast kill comes from stun + Combined action boosts that activates combat brute for extra +50% damage on helpless mobs. Stun + Momentum should devastate even EE trash.

    Cool build, temped to try something similar (although I do hope that they release dwarven stalwart before I tr to fvs ). Are you sure that this is better dps than what you'd get as a helf rog dilettant with wild weapons (gear setup for max SA damage + imp deception ofc)? I know that losing the human bonus feat is lot on such a feat starved build, but I'm just curious. Also curious if you have considered twisting Energy Burst (fire) from draconic (it doesn't require empower/maximize, but ofc not taking them would hurt your light spells).
    Main: Zodaroth - heroic & epic completionist pure dwarven warlock
    Alts: Zodynkar (caster), Zodirkeal (archer), Zodinn (lab rat)

    Wild weapons will be nerfed in u17, don't plan around it...but with the loss of it, the half-elf version (without GTHF) looks better and better to me.

    I didn't test the DPS numbers with wild weapons since like WruntJunior said it is going to be fixed in U17.

    Sneak attack is always a good addition to DPS but then you should sacrifice something, stunning blow or another feat.

    I considered energy burst: it does more damage than Tsunami and it's a better AOE but there are good reasons to avoid it on such build...

    • First of all Energy Burst has a reflex save, and this build starts with 8 charisma: while it would work in content up to epic hard it will be much less effective in epic elite. Tsunami on the other hand requires a fortitude save but just to do the cold damage: the bludgeoning one always lands with usually 800-900 points of damage if you have impulse equipment.
    • Secondly Energy Burst damage is elemental and you need to slot into your equipment something with combustion (you could use epic red armor, but that means less mana -> less spamming of dots and tsunami -> less DPS over time in medium long fights) or another element to buff its damage. The Gear List is already satured as it is.
    • Thirdly even if you assume you got that elemental thing in your equipment you still do less singletarget DPS using Energy Burst rather than Tsunami: this spell is on a 7 seconds cooldown while the other one it's on 30 seconds.

    Remember that spell damage (especially in the Tsunami case that requires empo/maxmize) is a thing that usually standard melees cannot afford. If it can buff your DPS then we must abuse it in order to catch up on the real melees DPS.

    The human build i made doesn't take GTHF as well because i chosed Stunning Blow over it. It is useful when you want to start blitzing: Stunning Blow + Tsunami + Momentum Swing gets often a fast kill on ee trash mobs.

    Personally, I'm planning to utilize Wild Weapons while I can, then when u17 hits I'll grab Tsunami (it's nice, but I get more fun out of Wild Weapons with Master's Blitz). That said, I haven't tried out Stunning Blow - that may be nice to try out (as I said, I'm seriously considering swapping out GTHF in u17 either way). >_>

    Like the build. Curious now that u17 is out, what changes you would make (if any)?

    I noticed others recommended "Momentum Swing" & I think you mentioned it multiple times but didn't see it in your updated build. If you do take Momentum Swing what twist do you switch (Twist of Fate: Endless Faith)?

    I don't have ESOS nor Antique G.AX on my FvS and we don't farm those but can get runs for CitW...

    Curious if you have tried Celestia & how it compares to the ESOS/AG-Axe combo...

    Would Celestia work as well on a H-Elf version as the Human version?

    Lastly curious what a H-Elf variant looks like (gives up/gets) & the H-Elf pro/cons?

    I'd go for Cleaver from CitW. It's very similar to eSoS damage-wise once you spend 25 CoH upgrading it fully.

    Thanks for the thought but I am still very curious for this build how Celestia stacks up vs Cleaver/eSoS/eAG-Axe DPS?

    Besides flavor of wielding a "Light" weapon on a melee/light DPS FvS, I am very curious about Celestia as with one weapon you open up many different options on a 1st lifer FvS or FvS/splash... For example with only grinding one weapon you open up the following (off the top of my head):

    - Celestia breaks almost every DR in the game (if you don't change it's mechanics).

    - Celestia opens up S&B options keeping the THF benefits but with extra shield/Defense added in... As MaddMatt70 alluded to above you can also maybe have "more balanced stats thus having good dcs on your spells". I am not 100% sure if with Celestia you get the THF benefits with only a short sword proficiency or if you need Bastard sword proficiency... It would be interesting to try the Unyielding Sentinel ED on this build to see how it tanks and if that helps when soloing some quests.

    - Lastly, situation-ally switching to the Exalted_Angel ED with Celestia may be more of DPS add than anything else.... For example, if you knew you were going to be DPSing a boss in a situation when a real tank has aggro, the EA ED has viable builds that also don't rely on DCs & can do massive light DPS and give the entire raid an additional +25% physical & light DPS on the Boss... I think it will even help the bludgeon portion of your Tsunami twist... With all the extra light de-buffs/AoV/SLAs/Celestia in EA your personal Raid Boss DPS (your melee becomes Light damage) may be even higher than eSoS/AG-Axe with Dread/Fury and all the melees get +25% on top of that...

    In the end, I like the idea of having a melee FvS/splash that can viably switch between all of the above EDs (Fury/Dread/Sentinal/Angel/etc) and try different roles... I suspect I can get more mileage out of that without getting bored as fast as many other options... I also really like the idea that it may be able to be done on a First Lifer and by only having to grind a single weapon...
