    Default Incorrect PRR

BAB+6 would be correct, but instead notice I get BAB = 17 PRR.

It bites, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear it said that it's WAI--PRR is tied to armor proficiency, and while Adamantine Body counts as heavy armor, warforged don't actually get proficiency with any armor. Even with just Composite Plating or Mithral Body, warforged should have BAB +2 for PRR, and they don't get that.

Anyone create, say, a WF FvS and WF ftr, both w/Addy Body, to see what their PRR is? If it's tied to armor prof like Arkenis suggests, then the ftr should get full PRR benefits but the FvS doesn't.

I have a mithral body fighter I can check later to make sure it's consistent with light armor prr.

My tests showed that a level 1 WF fighter has PRR 1.

Then it confirms that you get BAB instead of BAB + 6.

I disagree. A fleshie FVS spends nothing to use medium armor, and would need to spend a feat to use heavy armor effectively.

A wf FVS must spend a feat to use the adamantine body (or even the mithral body!).

Therefore, from a balance perspective, its entirely fair that WF should get the correct PRR for their choice of armor. Note that arcanes are unlikely to choose adamantine because of the arcane failure penalty (possible exception artificers, but they have medium armor feats anyway, so again they're spending exactly what a fleshie would to use heavy armor), which is the only potentially exploitable case anyway (rogues, monks, druids are not going to choose anything over composite or mithril either).

EDIT: the only circumstances I would agree with your position is if the body feat was a free feat granted to all wf at level 1, allowing them to choose between composite / mithril / adamantine without using a normal feat slot. I don't see this happening any time soon however.

Deactivated stalwart stance, switched out of unyielding sentinel, not holding shield.

Sorry, I don't mean "should" in the "this is how things ought to work" sense, but in the "if Arkenis's theory is correct, then this will be the result" sense.

I ran some quick Vet1 tests to make comparisons:

Dwarf fighter wearing full plate: The expected BAB+6 for PRR 10.

Warforged fighter with adamantine body: PRR equal to BAB 4.

Dwarf FvS wearing a breastplate (medium armor) : PRR 6 (2/3 of BAB + 4, so this number is correct)

Warforged FvS with Adamantine Body: PRR equal to BAB 3. In this case, the WF FvS has spent an extra feat for inferior protection.

To be thorough, I then rolled up another dwarf FvS that took heavy armor proficiency as a feat, and bought some plain half plate from the shop in the harbor: As expected, the PRR went from 6 (as above) to 9 (BAB + 6).

Next I made some wizards to compare composite plating PRR to no armor:

WF wizard with composite plating (technically "wearing" light armor): PRR 0 (This should be PRR 3 in this case)

Dwarf wizard in robe: PRR 0, as expected.

Finally, I made some rogues to compare Mithral Body to light armor:

Dwarf rogue in leather armor: PRR 4 (it seems to round up for the 1/2 BAB + 2)

WF rogue with mithral body: PRR 2--As with the adamantine body fighter above, the bonus isn't being applied, +2 in this case.

Again, to be thorough, I then made a WF rogue with composite plating (still light armor!): PRR 0, same as the composite plated wizard.

At this point, I stopped making characters to compare PRR--For any remaining combinations, the end results will likely be the same: Arcane caster WF will suffer the penalties for wearing "light armor" without getting the PRR benefit, and any other combination will require spending an extra feat over a fleshy for inferior defenses.

My previous thought that it was tied to not having the proficiency turns out to have been partially correct--It works that way for characters that can actually equip armor. I didn't make characters to throw them into armor they weren't proficient with, but to see what would happen, I checked some upper teen level "fleshy" alts:

My L16 cleric has a BAB of 12 and PRR 18 in heavy armor, and PRR 12 in medium armor (no shield in either case).

My 15 wizard/1 rogue has a BAB of 7, and PRR 0 in heavy armor and medium armor (not proficient) and PRR 6 in light armor (as with the test FvS earlier, this rounds in our favor)

My L13 monk gets no PRR from any armor. Makes sense.

My mithral body WF 20 artificer/1 epic has a 16 BAB and PRR 8, which lines up perfectly with the test rogue I cited above.

My testing and scoobmx's check confirm that WF body feats are not granting the PRR they should--In the case of composite plating, it's granting none at all, when it's counted as light armor in terms of applied penalties!

My suggestion at this point is for anyone with a WF character to file a bug report stating that you're not gaining the defenses you should be.

Snipped image, I jsut logged into my LoB and I'm getting a 21 prr (20 fvs, 2 epic, running unyielding sentinel). Cast Divine Power and it jumped to a 27. Although I thought I was only showing a 16 yesterday, not sure. He does have adamantine body.

You are getting 5 from sentinel. You probably took legendary shield mastery, which gives you PRR even without using a shield. This is a bug, but unknown whether the description is bugged or ability is bugged.

With no other PRR increases, he should be at 16 as adamantine body currently works. By chance, do you use a shield and have the first tier of Legendary Shield Mastery? It's the only thing I can think of offhand that might add +5 PRR to make it a 21. Divine Power should only be adding another 5, even if body feats were granting the correct PRR.

Edit: scoobmx beat me to it. Also, I was unaware the ability was bugged.

Yeah, I do have legendary shield mastery, but didn't have on on at the time.

It does pump up to 32 with a shield on (+5 crafted mountain) and divine power.

I reset the tree and it set me back to a 16

Bug reporting is broken for me in-game so I believe I reported it here on the forums - not sure but I think I did. Anyway just hoping they see this thread.

Anyone know whether this has been fixed yet on the preview server? It has been a long time that this game mechanic has been broken on warforged.
