    Human variants can get a boost to wisdom. There was a suppliment that gave humans from the far east a +1 to wisdom. Pathfinder (and possibly 4.0, Id have to check) allow humans to get +1 to any two stats.

    Ddo should have human subtypes, though you could make the argument that enhancements cover that already.

    No, Pathfinder allowed humans to get +2 to one stat.

    If +2 to the casting stat were really important all wizards and sorcerers would be drow

    Oh wow. Just checked the srd, your right. Must have been a house rule of the dm I played with. Either that or he misread it, in either case my first character was a human rogue (who died) my next was a human paladin, I took his word for it and never checked.
