    Default Warforged healers friend broken

    On a WF fvs, had healers friend 1. Cast a heal on myself.

    (Combat): You heal 378 points of damage from Heal.

    Took healers friend teir 2 at the trainer. Cast another heal on myself.

    (Combat): You heal 198 points of damage from Heal.


    Same gear. No other changes. Cast within seconds of each other.

    Something is seriously wrong here and it is really frustrating.

    Please fix Warforged healers friend. It needed a BOOST if anything due to it's high AP cost but now it is doing next to nothing.

    based on what you posted, we'd be lucky if it's doing nothing

    my warforged favored soul has gone from being able to heal himself for 400-600 to getting 150~ish max. This is not cool or ok.

    What has happened is that healers friend no longer improves the base warforged healing amp, just boosts heals after they take the -50% hit.

    So with healers friend teir II

    Before

    .7 base healing amp

    100pt heal hits for 70.


    Now

    .5 base healing amp, 20% on top of that

    100pt heal hits for 20% more than 50, ie 60 total.

    Warforged are basically unplayable if they cannot reconstruct themselves. They were already the weakest racial choice for most classes, and now this?

    No mention of this in latest release notes.

    This needs to be fixed, and now.

    Make elf now, they are more playable now comparing to WF.

    Did you have healing crit enhancements on? Should not be taking more than one tier of healer's friend anyways. You'd be better off spending points on spell power enhancements.

    All 4 teirs life magic. Can't spend anymore than that.

    None of the casts were crits. Relying on crits to cure yourself is dubious at best.

    1 teir, 2 teirs or 3 teirs, bottom line is, healers friend is borked.

    Has this been reconized as a bug/broken enhancement anywhere?

    Can't seem to find any acknowledgement of the problem anywhere, but wf are more or less unplayable as it is now, so sincerely hope it's not working as intended.

    Not on the known issues list as of yet.

    No dev post addressing this at all that I have seen.

    They will not fix this, trust in me.
    Remember that in august the new tree-based enhancement line would come out and this will give us something new and something different and maybe WF HF would be replaced by something else.
    I don't think they want to spend time fixing something that is about to die so early.

    only Acknowledgment I have found on WF HF was during phase 2->end of beta, where Id talk to kookie about it. He said he had a man on it.... That man must have been on vacation >.>

    But yah, they prob wont fix it until august. Closest date we have heard to patch 2 is end of the month..... Hell might as well wait till august to TR my WFpally and keep him on a shelf for the next month and a half

    way to go turbine

    My Effects log says I have benefit from "improved Recovery III" and counts it as 15%...

    Healer's friend isnt shown, so basically you stay at 50% penalty and get the 30% like it was healamp, so its effect is only half. BUT the description of healer's friend says that taking all three tiers gets you up to 80% base before healing amp gear steps in...

    So this is basically either a bug or a stealth nerf.

    PLZ put it on the known issues list and adress it!

    I'd also like some dev comment on this. We stull do not know, if this is WAI or not...

    Default Lay on Hands got the extra you lost from heals

    Dusted off my WF HotD recently, been collecting rust since just before DDO's 6th birthday.
    When I started using Lay on Hands, I saw the odd double heal values on myself and every other WF I "layed".
    At level 7 my incoming (self)heals looked like this:

    With +6 CHA : 64 & 102-Warforged
    With +5 CHA : 53 & 85-Warforged
    With +4 CHA : 43 & 68-Warforged

    Ran some numbers with different charismas and different WF targets, here is what I came up with.

    The value labeled "-Warforged" is my correct Lay on Hands heal based on level and Charisma. Taking +5 mod as example : (10 + 7) x 5 = 85

    This was also the amount I healed unamped fleshies for.

    But the 53 labeled as the "normal" incoming heals from the Lay on Hands was odd. Here were my amps:
    -50% for being WF
    +15% Healers Friend I
    +10% Hunter of the Dead I
    which when checked with my other self tests and some on other WF targets led me to this formula:

    let A = Standard Lay on Hands value
    let B = Amps calculated by (Racials x Class x Gear x buffs ...)
    let C = the -50% that Warforged get saddled with for being made of wood and metal

    (A x C) x B
    or more simply
    .5A x B

    and round down whenever possible, just because they hate us like that.

    using my +5 CHA mod on my own buffs we determine:
    A = (10 +7) x 5 = 85
    B = (+15% x +10%) = +26.5% (would like to keep the decimals on this one, since it seems to be applied as the actual value)

    and we get:
    (.5 x 85) x (1.265) = 53.13 when you round down the first term.

    if you want you could plug in the values for my other CHA bonuses and see that the equation seems to hold up.
    I tested on other WF and could actually tell them how much amp they had.

    So if you want the most efficient heals for your poor little WF tank, bring along some Drow Defender of Siberys Paladins, for all the extra Lay on Hands you can get.

    Best fix for this would be to properly label the "-Warforged" half of the Lay on Hands in the combat logs, they are just switched around; you don't even need to tell everyone that they get a bonus bump of heals based on their standard heal amps.
    Worst fix for this would be to only apply the amped heal with a Lay on Hands, since it is supposed to heal Warforged at full value.
