# Thread: Twist of fates - unique combinations

1. Hi,

Emptysands, are you sure your table includes all of the possible combinations?

I don't see an entry for Tier 3 (6) + Tier 3 (9) = 15 pts.

Thanks.

Yeah, thanks for spotting that.

4. Hi,

Empty, you're welcome. This is a really nice resource for us, so thanks again for providing it.

I only noticed when I tried to write a program to duplicate what you'd done. The output is below, and otherwise seems to match yours.

Thanks.

---

One twist
Tier 1 = 1
Tier 2 = 3
Tier 3 = 6
Tier 4 = 10

Two twists

Tier 1 + Tier 1
-> 1 + 2 = 3
Tier 2 + Tier 1
-> 3 + 2 = 5
Tier 2 + Tier 2
-> 3 + 5 = 8
Tier 3 + Tier 1
-> 6 + 2 = 8
Tier 3 + Tier 2
-> 6 + 5 = 11
Tier 3 + Tier 3
-> 6 + 9 = 15
Tier 4 + Tier 1
-> 10 + 2 = 12
Tier 4 + Tier 2
-> 10 + 5 = 15

Three twists

Tier 1 + Tier 1 + Tier 1 -> 1 + 2 + 3 = 6
Tier 2 + Tier 1 + Tier 1
-> 3 + 2 + 3 = 8
Tier 2 + Tier 2 + Tier 1
-> 3 + 5 + 3 = 11
Tier 2 + Tier 2 + Tier 2
-> 3 + 5 + 7 = 15
Tier 3 + Tier 1 + Tier 1
-> 6 + 2 + 3 = 11
Tier 3 + Tier 2 + Tier 1
-> 6 + 5 + 3 = 14
Tier 3 + Tier 2 + Tier 2
-> 6 + 5 + 7 = 18
Tier 3 + Tier 3 + Tier 1
-> 6 + 9 + 3 = 18
Tier 4 + Tier 1 + Tier 1
-> 10 + 2 + 3 = 15
Tier 4 + Tier 2 + Tier 1
-> 10 + 5 + 3 = 18

5. Some more analysis. WIP.

Assuming max ranks in ONE ED, and lvl 3/rank 15 in 6 EDs and lvl4/rank20 in 3 EDs. This gives total of 5 + 3 x 6 + 4 x 3 = 35 ED levels and 11.67 Fate Points.

Min XP to get to this point is:
Code:
```1,980,000 - Rank 30 lvl 5
4,320,000 = 720,000 x 6 - Rank 15 lvl 3
4,320,000 = 1,080,000 x 3 - Rank 20 lvl 4
= 10,620,000 for 11.67 Fate Points.
+360,000 for 12th Fate Point
11 million at 3k/min is 62hours.```
Max XP to get all Fate Points is 15 million + 480,000 for max Fate Points and one max rank ED. About 86 hrs at 3k/min.
The minimum XP path for each point on the OP table can be determined in a similar fashion. For example 6 Fate Points is 18 ED levels: 5 from primary ED, 3+4+3+3 = 12 ED lvls for total 18. Implies min xp path to 6 Fate Points is 1,980,000 + 3 x 720,000 + 1 x 1,080,000 = 5,220,000 xp or 29hours at 3k/min. This would give you 3x Tier 1 or 1x Tier 3 twist.
They do. Had a guildy that pulled a +1 Tome of Fate from a chest in one of the Depths series on elite the other day. Yes, they pulled a Fate tome from a level 5 (+elite) quest.
They linked it in guild chat, and I had no reason to suspect they were making anything up.
So they drop, but like all the other store items that drop in chests, they are rare and random.
Are you really talking about the depths in house D here??
Yup.
9. If rank 30 actually gave Level 6 ED - then we could get a max 22 Fate Points.
Here is an extended table.
Code:
```Tier 4 (10) + Tier 4 (14) + Tier 4 (18) = 42
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 4 (14) + Tier 3 (12) = 36
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 4 (14) + Tier 2 (7)  = 31
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 4 (14) + Tier 1 (3)  = 27
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 4 (14)               = 24
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 3 (9) + Tier 3 (12)  = 31
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 3 (9) + Tier 2 (7)   = 26
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 3 (9) + Tier 1 (3)   = 22
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 3 (9)                = 19
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 2 (5) + Tier 2 (7)   = 22
Tier 4 (10) + Tier 2 (5) + Tier 1 (3)   = 18

Tier 3 (6) + Tier 3 (9) + Tier 3 (12)  = 27
Tier 3 (6) + Tier 3 (9) + Tier 2 (7)   = 22
Tier 3 (6) + Tier 3 (9) + Tier 1 (3)   = 18
Tier 3 (6) + Tier 3 (9)                = 15
Tier 3 (6) + Tier 2 (5) + Tier 2 (7)   = 18```

You can pull lots of really rare stuff from any level quest. I've seen an Ioun stone pulled from I think Kobold's New Ringleader. I pulled a Collapsed Portable Hole from Waterworks. Etc.

11. Update bump.

12. 4+3=19 (+1 Tome)

Can add 4+4 = 24 to your "beyond current limit" chart in Post 29, too.
