enhacement effects on Energy Burst

Just wondering do enhacements/sorc capstone etc. effect Energy burst damage? What does affect the damage on energy burst if anything?

it does abour 1300-1500 damage on my fire savant non-crit.

My personal high score is 13,026 damage against the fire elemental boss in EN DA. My sorc is cold specced, as is my ED, and that was a crit, though I did not have the awaken weakness curse so I could have done more potentially. Also, completely unrelated to the OP, the word "elemental" is censored in the character biography for some reason.

Any chance of a breakdown of your Spellpower to achieve that?

I got a hit for 14k something once. If I remember right it was in big top on one of those hell hounds. They're already weak against ice, so it was basically like casting the debuff and then nailing em with it.

I think only the really big numbers come out when everything aligns and they didn't just make a half hearted reflex save for half dmg. Which in ehard or especially EE isn't to often.

I'm pretty sure the level goes up to 30 at least, so we'll start there:

30 * (1d15 + 15)
30d15 + 450
on average: 30 * 8 + 450 = 690

The standard deviation of 30d15 is sqrt(30 * (15^2 - 1) / 12), twice that is 47.3, and we wouldn't expect to be more than two standard deviations from our mean, so we'll take 737 as our base damage.

2837 * 3.25 = 9220

Then you could combine Helpless (13.8k), Awaken Weakness (15.9k), inherent vulnerability (29.7k), and if you're really fancy Sense Weakness (35.7k). For boss types you're stuck with the middle two, though, for a ceiling of 19.8k.

Tested on level 20 Sorc in both EA and DI I'm casting at level 27 which is the bonus levels I get from Savant. I dont think there is a cap as I remember last live casting in high 30s. But DI levels don't seem to do anything

Dragon spell knowledge does not add caster level which must be a bugged as you would think it should.

Has anyone tested Dragonborn caster levels?

I was at lvl 36 Energy Burst in EA. (I also have capstone from Sorc)
I put in the dragon twist and it gave a lvl 37 Eburst. (Draconic Knowledge: Blue, gives caster levels and Max Caster levels).
I swapped to magister and it stayed at lvl 37.
I put in Blue Dragon: Spell Knowledge, and it stayed at lvl 37.
I activated capstone "Elemental Apothesis: Air" and got a lvl 38 eburst.
I refunded the whole sorc tree and got a lvl 32 eburst.
First core gives lvl 33.
Second core gives lvl 34.
Third core gives lvl 35.
Fourth core gives lvl 36.
Fifth core gives lvl 37. (At this point lightning bolt was lvl 34).
Capstone passive gives lvl 37. (Lightning bolt lvl 34).
Capstone turned on gives lvl 38. (Lightning bolt lvl 35).

TLDR
Energyburst is affect by caster levels and not max caster levels.
Dragonborn caster level affects Eburst.
The capstone from Air Savant is not giving the passive caster level or max caster level bonuses (AFAI can see). The active is working though.

I am too lazy to submit a bug report if someone wants to on the capstone.

Careful, combat log will always show you the CL even if CL is higher than MCL. MCL still apllies regardless.
Don't trust your combat log. That being said I don't remember if burst has a MCL.

Feel free to redo your tests with this new knowledge. Also this thread is 6 years old.

I took a 7 month break and when I came back the dynamic was pretty different so I dipped out. Solo guild for me atm.
They're still doing lovely. Mork had some fun r10 solos. The guild recently did the new raids on r6. AFAIK there's still some competition to push it higher. The game is fun atm but getting easier all the time. I've been playing the game too long. Aggrom logged in again the other day, you might catch him on. (?)
