Do you get the bonus from the slugs? What about bard heal over times?

So nerfs to WF with out taking into account any of the other effects. Joygazim.

Nope, you get an "Incorrect race" (paraphrased) error if you try and eat them.

I think the biggest issue is the lack of any armor use feats on WF characters. Without the Heavy armor feat you get your BAB as PRR in adamantine, but a human fighter in plate gets BAB+6. I've created several characters and looked at all my existing stable and none of my WF have armor feats.

Yeah. That bug got neutered bad.
I can't see an extra 15 spell power being worth it even if I could buy one for platinum from the nearest vendor with the recent changes to it.

My suggestion is to spray that sucker down with some raid and drop it in the nearest trash receptacle pronto.

Then go kill some drow and get yourself a spellpower 108 item with superior lore, DC +3, and spell penetration 9 all wrapped up in a neat little bundle.

I sigh every time I see my Warforged character running around with that little fanged icon floating above my head. Then I drink a potion and sigh again. They should sell these in Costco family sized packs now, maybe with a convenient tote bag and a colorful sticker.

A free total reincarnation is in order. The changes totally made the WF I had to buy not much better than a fleshie, besides the fact of all my restrictions.

    Not much better?

Sadly I would say that WF is the worst choice of race for anything that is not a wizard, sorc or artificer.

Bard/Ranger/Paladin suffer heavily due to the warforged lack of healing amp (HEALERS FRIEND IS BROKEN!). When you are healing with cure spells you can never have enough amp.

Rogue as well as heal scrolls are very amp dependent.

Fvs/Clr as well but not as much as they have the heal spell (with healers friend broken still need devotion item, empower healing, 10/20/30% amp for heals to hit for a reasonable amount. Probably fleshmakers and pally pastlives too. Have fun slotting/grinding all that. Even after all that, fleshie still better as fvs capstone/clr aura on self are much stronger.

Fighter/Barbarians used to have 500-600 hp on average pre xpac but are generally close to 1000 now if not more. So healing amp is pretty important and warforged take a massive hit to that...and gain almost nothing in return. +3 PA enhancements and....nothing else. Tank? Gotta spend a feat to wear heavy armor. DPS? Half orc or halfling or human or halfelf. Self sufficient? Fleshie>Warforged for every class that cannot self-cast repairs.

Can't speak for druid as haven't played it but I see no reason that WF would be the ideal choice in any situation.

Warforged can certainly get by as monks but are never the ideal choice-in fact they are still the worst race for it.

People see warforged wizards, sorcs and artificers dominating content and get the idea that it is the race that is overpowered. It is not, that is a class balance issue, not a racial one.

Warforged were underpowered overall before the xpac changes, now they are borderline unplayable for most classes.

    Lol.

They broke Healer's Friend? How do you break that? It's like one of the most basic things to code. Guess I won't be using my Warforged characters until the patch comes out.

This entire expansion pack has just been one Turbine blunder after another...

From a lore perspective, there shouldn't be any named docents dropping in FR. In fact, docents in general should be pretty rare there.

    -Construct fortification on docents

WOW, now that AC is more useful to more builds, you decided to TAKE AWAY 3 AC and give WF...10% fortification. You know, for those 3 wf running around with a moderate fort item at level16+...
The +10% fort is a buff, not a nerf. It's worth more than 3AC in the new system and content. With the growing list of fort bypass options in the game, having more than 100% is a good thing.

I just use recon scrolls. The wrench animation instead of the silly red/white cross is awesome.

That said, I'm TRing my rogue into a human. This is getting dumb. The awesomeness that is playing a construct, and the ability to wear fleshshaper on my rogue does by no measure offset the huge penalty that is healing malus. Not to mention I now pretty much have to spend a feat on mithral body, because armours really make difference. A feat I don't have. Scrolling myself for 300 with heal scrolls rather than 160 with recon ones will just be another bonus.

It is a nerf. There's other, better sources of fort gain. Especially for a WF, since they already start at 125% with just heavy fort. This was one of the only sources for AC we had over fleshies, and even with this it was harder to get good AC than on a fleshy.

    ^^^ 10% fort is a nerf^^

Anyone notice that medium fort on a low level WF is only 90% now instead of 100%. Therefore the 10% bonus fort is only equalling what was lost low level

I love my WF wiz and arty, I have an older toon WF fighter I Tr banck into a Fighter, I like the flavor of WF but now the penalties and *ahem* improvements that came with the update make the taste quite bitter.

Need a fix now as much as pure ranged Rangers do.

    - no access to dragonmarks
    - unable to use about 1/3 of items in game
    - rust monsters do special damage to you
    - must spend a feat to have heavy armor, even if you are a fighter
    - more difficult to heal

I think the only benefit is a built in deathward and underwater action item.

I still luv my wf characters, I have 4 but its more of a drawback than a perk and you pay for it.
U don't even have neither Deathward nor Deathblock.
U have immunity to lv drains but u can totally be instakilled.

    Some suggestions:

    - Make body feat an autogrant at level 1: in the same way a half-elf can choose a dilettante feat at level 1, make WF choose a body feat among Composite, Mithral, Adamantine. This will offset the feat-starving for heavy armor users, especially for classes like paladins, which are already short on feats (changes pretty much nothing for arcanes).

    - Either reduce the cost of the healer's friend tree to 1/2/3 or improve the granted healing amplification to 65/75/85. Cost of the full tree is awful for what it provides, and nonetheless all WF have to take it because there is no other choice.

    - Give more sources of DR/PRR. Paying 12 AP for 3 DR/Adamantine is a joke. Give us instead a racial tree that gives 10/20/30 PRR, restricted to non-composite plating (so arcanes cannot get it without gimping themselves)

    - Make better docents, especially for WF monks, which need some love. We need more stuff like the DoD, the quorforged docent, actually unique stuff. We need more variety, u14 released some 10 different armors, but only 2 docents.

    - Get rid of construct fortification and give back the AC. WF already start at 125%, and with some equipment, get even higher.

WF are hands-down my favorite race, but with those changes, I'll be better off TRing my WF fvs into a human/helf, instead of making him a WF pally as I envisioned. Even without his DT, healing amp is still better. I believe that, if all of the abovechanges were implemented, WF would be roughly on par with other races.

btw, the construct fortification that replaced reinforced plating... they're insight bonus
which means it doesn't stack with the exceptional fortification that are being dropped in random loot

meanwhile, named hide armors are still getting their rough hide buff

composite plating defaults at 0 ac and won't get any base ac until you get the higher tier docents, placing fleshies ahead in terms of unarmored ac way until wf is finally is able to catch up (somehwhat) when they get epic docents that have base 4 AC for composite...

even my WF wizificer is hurting with this update - I went out in the desert and got killed by that mummy disease curse ****. The devs have successfully returned Warforged to the gimpy state they were in at game launch 6 years ago. A few of you old timers might remember what that was like - parties wouldn't even let you join if you were warforged because it just wasn't worth it for the healer to burn all her spellpoints trying to keep you alive. And after all the outcry and incremental improvements to get us to a point where WF were finally the tough living constructs the lore described, the devs turn around and nerf us senseless with no warning.

I pre-ordered this expansion because we were promised new content and a new class. If I'd known they were going to nerf my favorite characters I'd have held on to my money.

    Bump.

None of these issues are addressed in the slightest in latest release notes.

With the excetion of the 1/2 spell power bug for heal/mass heal actually being working as intended.

Yeah, the WF nerfs are really sad.
Horc and Helf are the best races now (basically because they're the most recent)
Time to TR any WF characters before the devs change WF underwater action into a +10 on swim checks
