    Default Drow Weapons

Are these supposed to be useful for anything? They seem fairly uncommon from the runs that I have done... You are able to repair them but you cannot use them for anything that I can see.

    EDIT:

I have tried disjunction on these... it didn't work as they are considered named items

If the can be deconned and used as crafted items with the 3[] damage, that's some pretty sweet twink gear...

they also have an expanded critical threat range.

but i could've swore they were previously an enchantment, and only existed on various weapons with other enchantments (at the very least, an enhancement bonus) on them.

No min level TR twinkies is what they are.

Level 1 version of a 1 handed Sword of Shadows?

I'll make an elven scimitar user one of my TR lives if I get a couple of those, or a dwarven WH user.

They're also some of the only items that will survive transit through the Pool of Darkness when you travel to Moander.

    Thinking on this...

The end boss has a debuff called Disarmed making comment on how you have weakened the boss by destroying his weapon... There is no reason to make the mob have a debuff like that unless it's applied after the fact, otherwise the mob would be designed to be weaker.

Maybe there is a way to fight him without actually destroying his weapons.

I see that the hardness of these drow weapons is only 10, pretty low for weapons.

    ^This

Base 3d6 is equivalent damage to a +0 flaming scimitar of pure good. Plus, extra crit range.

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

Basically, it's a +0 (Keen) (Flaming) Scimitar (of Pure Good) that doesn't get modifiers like Magic, or alignment DR breakers like Good.

But I can totally see this being TR melee fodder. Cleave, Great Cleave, Whirlwind attack?

Uh i hope they don't damage over time while not in the underdark, when i pulled mine in the house of rusted blades it was damaged in the chest... i'm smelling something weird about those weapons.

Oh and they can be pretty good btw :

On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero

    Wait...
The vorpal blade was also able to survive the trip through the planes...but there was an easy exploit that would let you get EVERYTHING through, so it was never an issue for me.

The most fun I had in that game was when the vorpal property somehow transfered to a stack of arrows. My elven Fighter/Mage/Thief with a longbow was cutting off heads from halfway across the map.
