    If I remember correctly several of the named epic items have variations, For instance instead of +8 to a stat you could find a varient that gives +3 exceptional of that stat instead. I think the planar focuses are among those with variations.

    I don't think that's named. Crusader is just a new suffix (combining absolute law and good blast into one) there are a LOT of new prefixes and suffixes that combine several old effects into one.

    Is there going to be epic versions of any of these? They are pretty good for non epic items, but I dont see anything that will replace my current epic gear. The +2 exceptionals could give you more choices in gear layout I guess.

    You can convert Stone Heart or Ancient Gemstone to work with any of the sets.

    The most important ramification of this is that you can get the Purple Dragon set instead of the Sun Soul on a WF Monk.

    One of the possible variations of the Level 20 challenge quarterstaff. Stupid me for not noticing the War Wizard Staff option, so back to grinding out some more ingredients

    Got around to farming a War Wizard Staff, level 24.
    Costs: 200 Platinum Tri Crowns, 400 Fey Toadstool, 400 Golden Lions.

    Totally not worth the time. Sure maybe I could possibly get a good set of mods on there, but it's at best slightly better than the randomly generated level 24 quarterstaff I have. The potency values are exactly the same as randomgen 24 staves. So it's down to having more mods than randomgen stuff, so the chances of getting what you actually want are abysmal.

    Maybe if it were unbound or bind on equip I could at least hope to trade versions around or buy the version I want off the AH. As is... not remotely worth doing the challenges more than a couple times for stars/fun (and the new challenges are fun).

    Not sure why they would have a repair bonus on a staff from FR though. (Though I suppose WF are getting shafted on docents atm I still can't see the reasoning for that effect on the staff) or is what you are saying some effects change?

    Why not? Warforged are a part of Forgotten Realms in the timeline we're in (which is from 4E).
