    Default Ogiyon Tomain Bugged

    - Wizard lvl 20
    - party of 1 (me myself and I, no hirelings, but I did have a summoned pet)
    - Normal
    - it seems okay as a quest, but rather short for a level 19 quest
    - Ogiyon Tomain bugged out on me as I was fighting him. I was kiting him around just to avoid taking unnecessary damage, but when we came up to the door, he used his leap at me and hopped right behind the graphic of the door. He was then blocked and I couldn't hit him due to "Failed Action: Ogiyon Tomain is blocked by the Error! Name_Property missing"

After fiddling around a little, I discovered you could get him back into the room by taking incremental steps back to lure him to jump at you and land once again in the playable area. I figured this was something worth noting because it's an inconvenience that I encountered on my first run through the quest :/

[Back on closed beta so I'm not sure if it's still a thing]

Level 25 monk with full GMoF, completely solo, on elite.

Aside from mobs getting hidden behind the door graphic (Almost always one wolf, and occasionally a werewolf you need for completion.), there was a problem where if you closed the door to the clerics' dorms, it would lose the ability to be targeted or interacted with; thus trapping you inside with no way of opening the door again.

    Elite. Party of 4 - Rogue L25, Ranger L25, 2 hirelings (L20 FVS, L20 Bard).

Was testing for bugs previously encountered on closed Beta. NPC's to trigger optional now appear and do their thing. NPC that opens door to shrine/offices is now visible and does her thing.

NPC pathing error that prevents completion of quest on player death (ie NPC's that need to be escorted to front door) still present. Tested with different pairs from both wings. NPC's are now interactive after player death and you can talk to them. They will spout their lines but will not move.

I did notice that I was having more targeting problems this time than I have in the past. The winter wolves seem to be lunging more and I was having the same issue I get on live with wolves in Cannith challenges where you have to target the mob circle which is not where the mob actually is.

Also noticed end chest did not drop commendations (only one completion during test runs) though that may be WAI.

Edit: Also noticed that although my party contained 2 x L25's that xp report showed max player level as 22 with no xp penalty.

Group composition: Solo, on a WF FvS 20 (Soul Survivor build modified to have AoV2). The character is far more geared than most level 19 quests are designed for and very self-sufficient.

    Difficulty: Elite

    Thoughts:

Difficulty seemed reasonable. The werewolves are moderately dangerous without being brutal and don't have the HP bloat of the boring Inspired Quarter elites.
The quest's difficulty sharply increases once you unlock the shrine, which is quite reasonable - there's only two more fights, and even if you are soloing and die, you have a resurrection shrine handy (plus you can always reenter in a disaster).
I couldn't attempt the optional as some of the PDKs were behind locked doors. Not sure if it's any different to the main quest or not.
One complaint: All the mobs do basically the same thing (just with higher stats on the dangerous ones), making the quest a bit repetitive. One or two Werewolves with some unique tricks up their sleeve such as damaging spells, a melee DOT (perhaps applied by Wolf Knights on a Vorpal strike, doing 2d8 damage per 2 seconds for 30 seconds and stacking up to ten times) or even Improved Sunder would make things a bit more varied.

    Final boss:
Love the anagram (Ogiyon Tomain is an anagram of Inigo Montoya, and he starts combat with 'My name is Ogiyon Tomain. You murdered my pack! Prepare to die!')
He's dull though and the slow respawning wolves don't add to the fight. If you want to keep the difficulty as-is, I'd rather you drop his HP by 20-30%, and have him go berserk at half hp (giving him +20 Strength, +20% melee attack speed and -5 AC). This would make it shorter and more intense.

Comparison to other level 19 elites:
Harder than Reclaiming Memories, Wrath of the Flame or Mining for Ancient Secrets. Easier than Genesis Point, Eye of the Titan or Sins of Attrition. Much easier than Bastion of Power or A New Invasion (which really, really should both be changed to level 21 quests).
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

We're looking for your feedback & experiences on this quest! Please remember to tell us:

    - Character level/class make-up
    level 20, 18wizard / 2rogue no epic destinies

    - How big was your party? (did you use any hirelings?)
    Solo, no hirelings

    - What difficulty did you try it on?
    Elite

    - What did you think of the quest?
It was very linear, and rather boring, No traps, no surprises, no nothing, the ai was repetitive, and by the time i opened each door, circle of death or wail were off cool down.

    - Anything else you want to mention about the quest? (Please make sure any bugs you discovered also get filed as actual bug reports!)
I got bored fast, only reason i finished the quest rather than recall out, was due to the only surprise being how short it was.

Probably worth mentioning i completed this quest out of form (due to pm bug), so my dc's and hp were lower than usual.

Oh. and the warewolf transformation noises bothered me, i need to run lord of eyes / harbinger of madness chains again just to be certain, but i'm sure they're exactly the same sound that were used for taken transformations that i disliked then and now.

Thanks for your participation in Open Beta!

I've done this on my level 20 monk, fighter, FvS, Sorc and Arti. The Monk was a fail on hard. Hireling killed and monk shortly thereafter. Melee kind of suffers in this quest and without high deps and something like cleave the early ambush will really get you. Hirelings most of all - considering hirelings don't have quicken and the werewolfs will just hit them and constantly interrupt their casting cycle.

My fighter faired better - I believe it had several epic destiny levels but the differense was cleave. By having all those glancing blows I could cut up mobs before they could slaughter my hireling or char. And with fighter speed boost I could dispatch stuff a lot quicker.

Sorc and FvS had similar experience; sorc could CC and destroy and my FvS didn't even need hireling since it can self heal, BB kite and implode.

I love the quest; it's short, werewolfs are real meanies and there's just not that much puzzle and intrigue to it. A truly short but perfect adrenaline kick of a quest and the sounds of werewolfs and screaming people in the distance echoing through the building sets the tone.

    Played Party Members:
    Rizzyn 21 Rogue Assassin - 40 DC (Shadow Dancer 2) 348hps,
Izengar 21 Paladin KOTC III (Unyielding Sentinel 2) 550hps (Played by me.)
(Both are pretty well geared cause they are awesome to us and our first toons never tr'd, they have been perfected for their builds with GR and LRs. Both are 32 point builds and Elves.)

    Additional (Hirelings):
Rizzyn's Hirelings – Onyx Panther, Klin (Cleric 19)
Izengar – Onyx Panther, Albus (Favored Soul 20)

NOTE: Not everyone is going to have a survivor build or be as well geared as some people so this should be taken into account. Time to burst bubbles ------- We were informed that the quests Scale based on the number of live players in your party, it should "See" hirelings differently. This bit may or may not be working right. So, 2 players, plus 2 hirelings, plus 2 Onyx Panthers might be seen as a Full Level 20 party, and thus Scale as if all members were living players. This is not WAI, from what we understood. However, soloing any of this arc on Epic Normal should not be the same "difficulty" as a Full Party on Epic Normal. It is a problem of perspective; A well geared solioist might consider it challenging, but not terrible, but an unprepared full Party, based on the soloist's review, may be shocked by the Scaling. The King's Forest scales; testing this is easy. Fight that first set of Drow alone, or better Dire Bears. Leave and try fighting them alone while 5 other people are in the Forest with you -- you'll notice a difference.

    Difficulty: Normal (Testing Scaling)

    Thoughts on character in quest:
On testing between Full played Party on Normal and Duo, I can Intimidate almost anything and I am not intimidation built I do not know if this is a lowering on the dc to intimidate or the need for intimidators. My Rogue... played by the hubby is not hampered by what everyone seems to be complaining about – My view on people who are complaining about the Rogue Assassin being not playable.... should learn how to build a Rogue (Dex, Int and Con with the ~WF~ feat) because the rogue gets a hit in 99% of the time he hardly if ever misses. Maybe if people paid more attention to what stats mattered most and what feats worked well with the class and prestige class they were looking to build there would not be so many “useless” rogues running about. A Rogue's to hit increases when someone else has the agro, it is why the Tank, fighter or Paladin should run in and get the agro.

    Thoughts on Quest:
Same thing different room as Stated by Sirgog. If there were a couple variations from room to room that may change the mechanic may make the quest a little more challenging. Time duration – As someone who's time is split between work, minding a kid who likes watching me play as +Madfloyd learned while he was helping my Ranger off the ship; the length of the quest being Short works. Not EVERY quest should be Long, Boring and Tedious like some in Amrath or Long and Timed like – Stealer of Souls. Quest Time Variations are a good thing not everyone works from home or has all the time in the world to sit down in a quest. The only issue I had with this quest was the inability to finish an optional.... but was only one time. A purple dragon knight was unaccounted and stuck inside of a room on a bed.
Happily Deforming the Game one Leap of Faith at a time.

    -18/2/5 wizard(pale master)/rogue/epic
-Just me, my panther, and a summoned hezrou for the fight in the priest's chambers.
    -normal
-Loved it!!! I liked that it was short because so many of the higher level quests are longer. I feel having a few shorter quests breaks up the monotony. On my pale master I have some high level gear but am lacking torq. So with the PM bug I knew I had to be pretty resourceful. I managed it decently enough but know that once the bug is fixed I will be doing this quest on harder difficulties.
-In the priest's chambers, one of the warewolfs got stuck in a corner and couldn't seem to get out no matter what I did.

    -20/5 Druid/epic
-Just me and my panther (I called my wolf but he wouldn't attack anything)
    -normal
-still loved it. I didn't see much difference in how hard it was even though my druid is very undergeared. But then again with the bug on druid spell damage doing insane amounts of damage, I wouldn't expect to have much difficulty.

Once both the PM bug and the druid damage bug gets fixed, I'll be seeing how this works on harder difficulties, but I have a feeling that it's easier than most of the same level. And the end fight could probably use some ramping up in my opinion.

    - lv 20 Bard (ss PrE) / 2 Fatesinger
    - solo, no hires, panters etc.
    - elite

Nice quest, fast and fun, good when i don't have much time or i'm waiting for something.

With some cc this quest is very easy. Sphere of Dancing + Mind Fog stopped wolfs for a while, if they made save Irresistible Dance... after that only left was taking care of HP (Dirge in this part worked excelent). Difficulty of this quests depends on cc, if party has any sort of cc it will be easy run... if not it will be a lot harder.

Hey folks, thanks for all the feedback.
Should have the npc following bug and the stuck wolves bug fixed in the next update.
I've also checked the loot int he chest and I'm seeing both commendations and high level loot. So everything should be good with the next version.

    18 Paladin/2 Fighter/5 Epic on elite, solo.

The quest giver Delethir Mistveil offered me a Masterwork Dwarven Axe and misc ML2 loot as a reward. Assuming this is not WAI.
DPS solves all problems. R10 or bust. Khyber: Ying-1, Kobeyashi

Ran this quest again today, on elite, alone, with a lvl 20 wizard (pale master).

I had a wolf stuck outside the door. Standing next to the door for an extended time got him to come out. After that, the boss came, and several of the wolves accompanying him got stuck in the door (again). Circle of Death killed most of them, wail took care of the rest. After killing the boss, the chest contained no commendations. Not sure if that's intended or not.

Turning in the quest gave lvl 1-3 loot. Which was a little disappointing.

I love the general feel of the quest. I got overwhelmed the first time I went in, the second time I used CC to keep them from swarming me. That worked quite nicely.
However, putting a dancing ball at the door going outside traps some wolves outside, meaning you can't progress until you are able to lure them in and kill them.

Other than that, love the quest.
