    Woot!
    Yes!

    ;;;;

    Been pondering a bit:

    Hello Developers,

Soon, someday you will face a crossroads which perhaps WotC has already decided for you.

Simply put how should levels 26 thru 30 be handled?

Should epic destinies be chopped up into increments of 5?

How should you prepare for levels 31 thru 40.

My small humble advice on the subject:

    Contine as you are.
You have enough great stuff going on, it will last very well for the level cap increase to 30.
Don't worry about anything above level 30 atm.
That is many years down the road, stretch your creative genius later for that.
    You are doing fine.

Just remember we will have some lvl 30 toons soonth,
so try to make the upcoming epic raids as high a level as possible.

    Vale is tremedously popular.
Epic Vale introduced in coordiantion with the level increase to 30 might help you.

Just be sure and remember to super buff the eladrin and the spider queen
    that we have to protect!
(I am serious about that, uber uber over buff them, make totally sure they don't become another Lars/Cloye.)

Did Ruins of Thernal with an expert on elite with my epic Fawngate.
    Cloye did not die.
The monsters come in nice waves.
Still don't like the defend cloye quest, please reconsider buffing him and increasing the xp.
It is the principle of the matter.

Of big bigger concerns is the combinations of epic destinies if you chop them up into 5 level pieces.
It would seem much better to make epic destinies have 10 levels,
and increase all you have than create 5 level blocks.
There is less chance of uber broken combinations that way.

    Cheers,
    Silver

    ''''''

Also let us not forget how far we have come:

    Hi Devs,

Justing waiting outside epic von 5.

Leader is about to reset the raid due to someone entering wrongly.

Thank you for the reset button.

    Cheers,
    Silver

    A bit of an update:

I look out the front window and see the poles sticking up across the street.
My neighbors are building some sort of barn.

The stumps (even the oak one) burned nicely down to a charred hole.
Tried again on a new stump last night, but it rained.
Interesting none the less, much easier than an axe...

A deer came up into the back yard yesterday, actually four of them.
    Mom and I watched.
She is enjoying her books quite a lot, happy that she has so many.

Looking forward to today, an art program is coming in the mail.
Windows paint is nice, but I am starting to feel its limitations.

Fawngate (life 16 old fashion completionist) currently lvl 22 (banking 23).
Noes and I did a shroud yesterday, and we talked about reviving the raid train.
Looks like maybe starting Sundays at 2 pm Central USA time?
So if you are interested log in and send Fawngate/Fawnglow a tell.

Fawngate is flagged for Reavers now.
Lol, she ought to pull her madstone boots out of the bank to link for fun...

    Hi Devs,

Noticed a while back in the past, xp was calculated using various factors,
such as frustration, complexity, time spent, failure chances, etc...

But one of the factors used would seem flawed to me,
and that is factoring in the available named loot/loot.
Birds-eye-view show a long tendancy towards this.

A good example of this is Amarath.
Amarth offered excellant top of the line end game state loot.
Even +4 tomes in the raid.

Because of this Amarath xp was tonned down.
After all, the grand loot makes up for the xp right?

However, gold comes and goes, loot becomes outdated, but xp is forever?

Now that epic levels are here, that theory (although unconsciously applied)
    could be considered flawed.

I must compliment you on epic xp being gererous, thank you.
    Nicely done in that matter.
Perhaps you have already seen what I am?

    Keep up the good work!

    Cheers,
    Silver

PS Sins is considered an xp farm already (if you can survive zerging it), so make a note of that.

    Information:

Two twenty shroud runs in five/seven days saw no decrease in the end reward list.
Twentieth runs obtained cleanser and could have gotten the yellow drop of gold.

Thanks Serinay for helping Fawngate finish up TOD flagging.

Looking like some interest in the Noon pacfic time raid train starting on Sundays.

There was some debate by more than one person whether the shroud raid end reward list would diminish.
    It does not.

The first time I bypassed, I was worried I might not get the cleanser if the end reward list started diminishing.

Fawngate has seem regular quest end rewards diminish down to zero at one time.
(Not sure if it still applies.)

And of course chest ransack at 9ish and become empty at 12ish.
(Loot gems/loot bonues raise this number accordingly)

    Hey Fawn

Couldn't help but notice a couple of issues among the feats you listed. I'm not sure you are still playing a sorc but here's some advice anyway :
    • You picked up 3 epic spell pen feats on a Sorc and no Heighten! You definitely want to have heighten, Droping epic spell pen for it would be a good idea. DPS spells do not require any Spell pen, but instakills do! And there's no point in having spell pen if your DCs are terribly low. (In other words, Spell pen is useless if you don't have DCs).
DDO Wiki : This feat makes spells harder for monsters to resist by raising the effective level of the spell to the highest spell level your character can cast, but causes the spell to consume 5 more spell points per level raised.
    • You picked up the Barb PL Active feat which will work like Toughness for enhancements, but it will grant you 27 Hit Points VS 20 from Barb PL. (So barb PL is better for leveling, but toughness better at endgame - Also, keep in mind if you were ever to pick up Epic toughness (Extra 50 HP), you would need the toughness feat AND 21 con (which is what you have which 19 base con + 2 tome).
    • Quicken is nice but far from necessary on a sorc especially since you mentionned you had maxxed Concentration. You could, for example, replace it by Spell Focus : Necromancy.
    • Finally, the way you build your sorc really depends on what content you are running. Instakills come in pretty late so for TRing only, you could just build your sorc for DPSing and be done with it. However, for running epic content, speccing for instakills is very nice : Necro focus, Greater necro focus and maybe even Epic necro focus for your Finger of Death/Whail of the banshee/Circle of death spells. Finally, if you run a lot of MOTU content, investing in spell pen might be a good idea, but keep in mind you will probably never get enough spell pen for epic elite content (except if you are a wizard or heavily spec for it). So my suggestion would be to drop the entire spell pen feats, pick up necro focus feats and just DPS for epic elite.

Good luck with it whataver you decide to do (and if you are still sorc of course!).

Just a reminder, I always enjoy advice and discussions about character building cause its fun.

    Thanks again, Sith.

I would like to point out to the developers which I will write them a letter about this point:
My current Sorcerer build (along with the previous bard build (along with the previous Druid build
(along with the other previous bard build (along with most all the other builds....))))
all have a similiar weak spot.

That is simply put, needing/wanting more feats than one can take.

This means that variety being the spice of life is not only a good thing,
feats are well beyond that. We cannot take near enough feats to get things done.

This means that making ANYTHING require feats particullary feats we might not want to take,
is very limiting to our creativity/min+maxing/favor-umpth/necessity&reasoning/ect/ect/ect...

So as you have indicated you will listen to, please eliminate feat requirements as much as possible
    during the enhancement update.

Please eliminate feat requirements as much as possible in upcoming epic destinies.
Please grant bonus feats as much as possible with anything new coming out.

It is not without reason that 4th edition grants more feats than 3rd edition.

    Thank you.

By the way, Fawn is really really enjoying the Draconic Epic Destiny.

Thanks for the epic destinies, I love em very much.
Keep up the good work there, hoping to see them extended to level 10 someday.

Lol, I thought two of my epic destiny feature were bugged, but then I carefully watched
and realized that they were fine.

Now what was Fawn thinking with all that spell pen stuff?
Well, Fawn's favorite crowd control spell is Otto's Irresitable Dance.
And drow have high spell penatration defense.

However, the time is coming when Fawn will have to switch from her beloved Draconic Epic Destiny.
She does not have one of the feat requirements for the Magistar Epic Destiny, sigh...
(reread above, but since its only one feat, she will figure something out I guess, maybe a lesser heart
    and swap a lot...)

Also the time is coming when Fawn would normally TR after finishing capping out a destiny,
so new territory ahead which might need to be explored by soloing Forgotten Realms maybe on
    Epic normal?

I seriously doubt Fawn will be doing any Epic Elite, I'll leave that to others.
Likely you could offer plat and she would still refuse.

Well, Fawn did Sins of Attrition a few times on heroic hard,
capping out her draconic epic destiny.

Then she flipped thru the epic destinies several times looking em all over.

Finally she activated Fury of the Wild, which she did activate for a bit during an earlier life.

Kinda thinking she is saving Magistar for an upcoming wizard life...

Not quite sure of her plans atm, with have to take lvl 23 soon, and if she is gonna lesser reicarnate,
that would be the time to do it.

    ;;;

Update 16 will add tomes in the DDO store.

Curious to see what they are gonna be?

Lots of possiblities ~ stealing ideas from others:

Epic xp tome of learning variation
    Tomes of attack bonus
    Tomes of slayer xp bonus
    Tomes of crafting xp bonus
    Tomes of renown bonuses
    Tomes of hp/sp bonuses
Tome of spell pen/combat expertise/ect bonuses

I did write much letters asking for epic xp tomes awhile back.
That needs to be before the level cap hits 30, imho.

    ;;;

Woot, cleansed my Greensteel helmet (enervation guard),
and crafted a sp glove item, leaving both greensteel gloves uncleansed.

That allows a goggle swap without losing sp.

Abby and I had a very interesting conversation this morning.
Lol, she has her characters all planned out, and Fawn still doesn't know what she wants.

Well, one thing is certain, more spell pen would be nice...
Wizard past life is one way to get it.

One hard TOD raid done, along with a normal LOB.

Working on tactics for tanking the cold shadows...
She does have a triple cold absorbtion item.
Targeting is an issue at times.
Working on that, got some cloud spells.

    Successfully shadow tanked TOD hard.

Standing about 3' from the center bottom of the stairway.
    Casting spells such as
Fog Cloud, Incendary Cloud, Obscuring Mist with Quicken on.

Not moving with triple absorbtion greensteel and renewing the spell fire shield hot
When any targeting issues appear, using obscuring mist, moving mouse view to directly
overhead character and zooming in then using other cloud spells.

Fury of the Wild seemed at first a wild choice, but it does increase Fawngate's hit points which is nice
    for these high level raids.

Level drain/finger trash in final battle, dots of jailer in the first battle.

Only dissapointment with the Draconic epic destiny:

Draconic Fury only lasts 20 seconds.
It has a cooldown of 240ish seconds.
Fearsume invulnerability requires you damage a creature with a evocation or conjuration spell for a charge.
20 charges are required to activate that ability.
    Shrining clears your charges.

Well, its bascially 20 seconds to get tag 20 charges.
Sounds maybeish, but only got 20ish charges once.
    Usually getting 12 to 16ish.
Going thru cooldown was not working, cause you either shrine or everything is dead.

A 30 second Draconic Fury would be better.

    Other than that, great fun!

I hear ya there Fawn. I'm currently running Draconic on my PM, and didn't find the "Epic" ability all that easy to charge/use. So, I dropped it. Other than that, still love most of the rest of the stuff in there. (cant remember names off top of my head right now) The energy shield, fly-by attack, and the dragon roar are my three favorites. Have acid for the energy and cold for my dragon abilities, I love it.

Thanks Zornly, who helped us get thru an Epic Elite Von 3.

Nicely done, gave the healer 3 sp pots and he gave me one back.

Would not have normally done elite, but Zornly wanted it.

My spell pen against the drow consistenly failed, but againsts the trolls spell pen seemed to work.
So, dps vs Red names and drow, then otto's on the trolls.
All in fun cause we had an expert.
    Nice xp, over 100k, woot!

2.5 million xp, working towards 3 to cap.

A nice TOD run by a nice lady wizard, thanks.
This time I did not have to shadow tank.

Still have not done any Forgotten Realms quests.
Looking forward to the Raid Train on Sunday noon pacific time.

    Art program installed.
And it looks like DDO is actually encouraging Fan Art.
Was almost about to not consider Fan Art of a sort, but with that in mind, maybe we will...

    Woot, thanks Khyber.

Fawngate is now at maximum epic level xp.
(Still lvl 23 atm with 24+25 banked.)

Fury of the Wild at lvl 4ish.

Still Forgotten Realms quests to do.

Been using some of those xp pots Gunga-1 and Cloey had me buy to run with them.

Really not feeling like flagging again for raids,
so looking like staying at the top and working on epic destiny xp, raiding and such.
