Default First Life Build. Comments, please?

This is a first life Bard build. No elite gear, and I'll be playing from what I can find or buy. Have some starter gear already from the haggle bard that is now 13 and not going anywhere on the gimped build. At least, for now I'm tired of pushing that one along.

So, I'm asking for constructive criticism. I plan to take this build to 20. I hope to be able to run normal Shroud to build GS items. I doubt this build will ever run an elite Shroud, just because of lower hit points. After I TR it will be another story.

Please, no destructive criticism. That means, if you're going to tell me to do things differntly, explain your reasons so I can consider the change in that light.

If no one comments, I figure I did ok, or screwed it up so badly there is no hope.

    Feats are really weird.
Combat: Power Attack, WF: Slash, Toughness
    Spells: MT/IMT, SP/GSP

What is the reason for this? You also missed a feat at level 15.

    I'd suggest:
Combat: Power Attack, WF: Slash, Toughness, Improved Critical: Slashing
    Spell: Maximise, Empower Healing, Extend

That leaves 1 feat left over on a human build though I've probably missed something obvious.

It seems like your trying to be good at DPS AND at spell based crowd control. Bards have a whole spectrum of possibilities, but the key is to decide what you want to be good at in the beginning. If you spread yourself too thin, you'll end up with another gimp. If you haven't yet, might I suggest having a poke through this excellent Guide to Bardly Excellence.

Have to take PA and WF: Slash in order to become WC. This is good if I decide to go for DPS. I'm thinking more CC with side heals for grouping. I'll check out the link below and reconsider the build. Thanks for the input.

Good point. I'll check out that site and put in some time on reconsidering the build. Thank you.
