    Default Let the force be with you! 14 wizard/6 art

    Well after playing a rog/wiz I've been playing with various battlemage builds and I came up with this which I would be quite effective and fun at at the same time. Its based on been half elf and have 1 wizard past life.

    The idea behind the character from the art side:

    To use a combo Doublecross Bow/epic version which uses int as attack mod so can use the art damage spell for +int to damage, and the lucid dreams runearm for a constant barrage of fire for starters, with point blank shot, elemental weapons and h/elf rog for sneak attack. You have the battle engineer for the pew pew as well. I have the lucid on a 14 bard/6 art combo and with only 20% to force enhancements I can see 500 damage on the rune arm at times with crits, so with 14 wizard should be alot more. You also have traps and UMD with nifty +2 lvl to wands and scrolls.

    Second you have the wizard side, The idea is a cross of been able to spam max empowered magic and chain missles for stuff with heavy dr as well as the wizard feat for even more force spam, you have ice storm and acid rain for aoe, the dots, and the dc should be decent enough that you can get some instant kills/damage with prismatic spray or chain lightening etc. On top of that with you have a 3sp web! which has no SR check. Through there's a few items that are needed for this to work.

    Infused_Chaosrobe +1 casters lvl to evo spells and +2 conj focus
    Bracelet_of_Madness +2 evo item

    So you should cast evo spells as a lvl 15 wizard.

    Evo dc should be basic with 36 int = 13 + 10DC base +7 spell lvl + 3 feats + 2 item + 1 arch mage =36 DC
    Conj should be 35dc

    Runearm uses evo dc feats for its save so your looking for a similar save on that.

    This isnt without adding ship buffs or other bonues like crafting exceptional and solid fog is -5 to reflex. So your looking to hit 40 evo/39 conj dc. Add cleric or sorc past lifes for more DC.

    Lucid dreams provides sup pot 6, and +6% crit.

    I'm certain it would be quite viable to play, I've got it up to level 11 so far and no issues at all. The crossbow damage alone should be quite close to a arti, the dots plus battle pew should give you decent boss dps and icestorm/acid rain is decent enough vs bb. Its more like a flavour art, Through if anyone has any comments please let me know.

    I think I'd want to go to 9 artificer for lightning motes and then TR as soon as I hit 20

    I guess I missed the part where you fully explain why you're not just going pure arty Seriously though, I may have misunderstood, but didn't you say you already have a wizard past life, or did you mean that you *need* one?

    (Actually, I remember recently wandering down this avenue in response to someone who was building a wizard AA, mmm . . . wonder where that thread is . . . )

    I thought about this for fun, epic doublecross bow/enervate proc/finger of death.

    I would run mine as a wraith form PM though.

    Of course as everyone is likely to point out 20 Wiz or 20 Arti is likely superior dependent on wether you want to be primarily a caster or xbower.....
