    Wink No adventure expansion?

Hi, I'd like to buy an expansion goodies- destinies, druid, learning tomes etc, hovewer, I don't ever want to set foot into Forgotten Realms.
Is there going to be a bundle for costumers like me?

Yes... In August via TP after the expansion's release. Although most likely, they'll be sold individually.

Yes, everything will be available in the store eventually, except maybe the mask that gives +1 to all skills and the Onyx Figurine (lvl 18 panther hireling).

What you have to consider is:

1). How much will it cost to buy Druid in the TP store?

I saw a figure of 1495TP somewhere, but this is also a one time purchase, so not too bad.

2). How many Alts do I have?

I saw a figure that said the lesser tomes will cost 950-1000TP each, 1 per Alt. I have 21 Alts on Orien alone, so even though I'm VIP and will get Druid anyway, buying the top level package so I will get a tome for every Alt I create from now on was cheaper than 21,000 TP for my existing Alts on Orien alone, and I have a minimum of 2 Alts on each server.

You may not want the FR content now, but there will eventually be newb level FR content, if Turbine has anyone with brains working for them. I'm not a big fan of FR myself, and in fact would probably create a guild of Drizzt exterminators if we were like some of the PvP games out there, but the new content is just that... NEW CONTENT!!!!

Can I purchase the expansion with Turbine Points and how much will it cost?

Menace of the Underdark expansion content will be available for purchase with Turbine Points after the launch of Update 14 in August 2012, the first post-expansion Update. Turbine Point prices will be as follows:
    • Menace of the Underdark Adventure Packs – 2495 Turbine Points
    • Epic Destinies (account wide unlock) – 995 Turbine Points
    • Eveningstar Challenge Pack (free to VIPs) – 695 Turbine Points
    • Druid class (free to VIPs) – 1495 Turbine Points
So to get everything except the forgotten realm stuff would be 995 + 1495 = 2490 TP.

Of course, if you are VIP then all you would 'need' is the Epic Destinies, for 995 TP.

So, buy expansion, or get forced to go away from game for 2 months?
Thats a great business model, really.

And actually Epic Destinies will do no good either since that is only for levels 20-25 and those levels are only in the FR content (right now anyway). So basically Druid only if you want to ignore the FR totally.

You are assuming that the many packs we already have that were made epic are not going to be relabeled with the more accurate quest level and give epic xp. I think that is a poor assumption to make.

Could be, but we've been given no indication of that so I certainly wouldn't buy it assuming that might happen. In any case, it's pretty easy to buy the Epic destinies later on if that happens or the ability to go beyond level 20 becomes available in Stormreach and not just in the FR.

My understanding is that you can not buy epic destinies outside of the expansion until U14 at which point you will know one way or another.

I am really curious what is going to happen with that. But I guess we will find out May or June.

The thing is, after they will increase cap, everyone will move on, and will ignore what we got now.
No more ToD or LoB runs, etc.

That's a possibility. It will really depend on what new loots we see in the expansion.

There might actually be more ToD and LoB runs, as characters might pick up sufficient gear to make those easier, and still want some of the gear from those raids. But there may actually be fewer Shroud runs, since one would expect stuff from a Level 17 raid to be somewhat uncompetitive with stuff from a Level 25 raid. But the devs seem to have been of the opinion that the greensteel grind means that it has to be the 'top-of-the-line' loot. It will be interesting to see if that changes.

Yeap thats exactly what happened to the shroud the minute new content was released.

    Wait, no it isnt.

We've had these scares and dO0oOo0om!!1! proclimations before each time they create new content. Most of the predictions have never come to pass.
Advocating repeated nerfs in the name of "balancing the game" then complaining about how DDO is moving away from D&D, is a direct contradiction in logic - D&D 3.5 (what DDO is based on) is not a balanced game. We can either have a balanced clone MMO with homogenized classes, or we can have a D&D game. We cant have both.
