Default A reason to group up.

What DDO needs is an incentive to group.
    this:

2% XP bonus per person in group
    -hirelings/pets do not count

and if all slots are filled- +1 loot bonus.

There are already plenty of incentives to group.

What you are asking for is an incentive to dual box, drag along noobs, or invite people to lpike at the beginning and not die.

Or... get rid off dungeon scaling, and make questing together actually easier, than shortman.

If the goal is get the vets to start taking on other people than guildies, remove the perceived penalties for grouping rather than piling on more bonuses. The bonuses will not encourage bringing along unknowns, especially with +1 loot bonus.

    - Remove the xp bonus for no deaths, then it does not hurt the TR on life 20. The tomes of learning can be the replacement
    - Remove dungeon scaling (not popular)
    - Remove Dungeon alert (very popular)

Basically, turning back the clock to the days when zerging was very easy. Most of the implementations were put in to discourage zerging of quests.
