I've been seeing this as well. I would assume it's an integer sign bug as the total number of seconds is pushing the 64-bit unsigned int boundary. Just a guess.

I think it's wrapping around to the maximum limit of the variable. In this case it happens to be that number of years.
The "longest" possible you'll ever see is gonna be:
0xFFFFFFFF seconds = 4,294,967,295 seconds = 136 years, 2 months, 1 week, 3 days, 6 hours, 28 minutes, 15 seconds
When it happened to me I thought it was a hacker at first, since someone was selling a small infernal chain for 30pp with 44 seconds left. I quickly hit the bid button and about 40 seconds later I got sniped with the minimum bid.
If the glitches in DDO get this bad, even if it's just a graphics bug, I'm quitting.
