Been using Nagas for two years now. Only reason that's plural is for some reason my left click button would randomly send multiple clicks when just pressed once. Tried a bunch of things to fix it, nothing worked so I got a new one.

The problem became evident playing Skyrim and doing archery; I'd left click to notch and arrow and immediately shoot the ground two feet in front of me, heh.

That said, I love the Naga and can't really function without it in games! For DDO I have all my most used skills/spells/feats/items on my first action bar and have buttons 1-10 mapped. 11 and 12 scroll to other hotbars. That said I still have a bunch of hot bars on screen to click for weapon swaps, etc.

If you really feel like going nuts with changing your gaming set-up I recommend the Naga AND either a Nostromo n52te or Logitech G13 Gamepad. I've run that set up for both MMO's and single player RPG's and it's damn hard to go back to keyboard + mouse.

Never had a problem with static electricity; as another poster said, treat your electronics right!

It might be worth asking if they would unpack it to let you try. I wanted a Razer keyboard last year but really needed to see how the keys felt when pressed, because some types annoy me. I found a local computer store that sold them and asked if I could try it - because I was fairly certain I would actually buy it, they were happy to take it out of the box for me. You never know until you ask! Also, I believe that if you order from Razer directly and you don't like the product for any reason, you can return it within a certain timeframe (they probably won't refund shipping in either direction, though.)

As for the OP, I don't have any experience of using a Naga myself. I like to rest my thumb on the side of the mouse, and I'm pretty sure I'd find myself pressing buttons by accident if I had one of those! However, my hubby bought one after he broke his wrist and was able to play SWTOR quite effectively one-handed using it. I don't know how different the gameplay is compared to DDO, but all I can say is that he didn't have any issues with it and he still uses it for gaming despite having both hands working again.

I just did abit of research about those when i read your thread. I would make love to those side buttons.

Found one cheaper aswell, but not very good recommendations from users:

    Both have 17 buttons.

I recently bought a Left Handed Deathadder. It seems DDO doesnt support the side buttons on left handed mice (even tho the right handed deathadder is supposed to work fine...).

Interestingly, in the keymapping page I can select a mapping, click the side button and the game recognises it as mouse button 3/4/etc, although a warning window pops up saying that only buttons 0,1 and the wheel can be used. If I map the interact function to them it works, but no other commands work.

Ho hum. Shame there is no catering for the left handed minority!

Yes, I started using one a couple of weeks ago after my kinsman gifted it to me. I much prefer it over my Nostromo n52te which I'm contemplating selling. Don't use the pre-set mapping though; I recommend customizing the mappings to your preference.

    I highly recommend it!

I just got the Naga on sale for $20 less at Best Buy, love it so far. I especially like that I can turn the switch on the bottom to change the thumb key designation. Allows me to swap play modes (Heal mode for example)

I own a naga and love it.

They suffer from cheap workmanship though. You can open it up and look at what the mouse button use to hit the contacts..Really cheap plastic. Eventually most of them wear out a little ( the plastic ) and cause the double click issue.

Logitech has made a new mouse with the side buttons and it is made out of much better materials for the same price. The logitech g600
