Okay... hand in your geek cards, because nobody has yet mentioned the load screen to The Pit is a Princess bride reference.

Also, don't we have a dread pirate roberts running around somewhere? I seem to recall one but not where.

Anyone mention 3BC? I can't imagine a pirate themed adventure pack that isn't rife with easter eggs.

Probably already posted (I'm in a hurry so I can't read the whole thread but...)

The Bookbinder rescue: Dialogue boxes with the NPCs reference the Terminator

Monk trainer in the harbor: The 2 trainees in front of him are named variants of Ken and Ryu (Street Fighter)

Phoenix Tavern: The band above the PvP area have interesting names, one is an offshoot of John Lennon

Obviously the vale quests are named after songs/bands:

Rainbow in the Dark - Dio
Running with the Devils - Van Halen
    Coalescence Chamber - (Coal Chamber)

Ritual Sacrifice and Let Sleeping Dust Lie...not sure of those 2

...that's all I have time for
Toastee McRoastybuns - Shinigamii - Theifing Slum - Bakabaka - Salsasnack - Tssst The Dog Whisperer
MrBlonde - Omakase Omnomnom - Austrian Deathmachine - Consonar Crazy Ivan
    Ascent

(Dungeon Master): The chamber beyond the secret passage looks ancient, predating Korthos village.

How is that an Easter Egg? Sounds like typical dungeon bling.

    Default agatha christie

in partycrasers at the gala there is a woman named agatha krysae(or like that) that says that she would love it if they played mystery plays at livewood theatre(or like this).an obvious reference to agatha christie the famous writer.
also in the gala the Hitchstone character reminds me of alfred hitchcock

It refers to DDO and not external events. Originally, that chamber was a quest in the harbor. Many years later when Korthos was created, a bunch of harbor quests were relocated into that storyline. Thus the chamber predates korthos village.

Actually if you read the description closely, and listen to the boy's conversation. The two thieves stole the magic items and then the Thief backstabbed the Thief-Acrobat!

The escape sequence in von4 (Haywire Foundry) after activating self destruct reminds me a lot of the rebels escaping the death star after shooting its core in Return of the Jedi...

The doors at the end of Made to Order are a great riff on the Get Smart closing credit sequence. Best reason to run that quest.

Endboss Nurse Ratchett is a reference to Nurse Ratched, the heavy handed persnickity nurse from Ken Kesey's novel "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest".

    Default Hound of Xoriat

    Hi,

Pretty sure Xyzzy is based on a Simpsons episode, in which Homer is raving about dogs which shoot bees from their mouth.

    Thanks.

    I am missing that reference...
