    Default Drow Rogue TWF Assassin

This is my first build I've made. I only have 28 pt builds but I have Drow race unlocked. This character will start out as a Mechanic and then switch to Assassin at level 12. It will be using TWF rapiers.

    Suggestions welcome.

Personally, I would raise Dexterity instead of Intelligence, but that's just me.

Swap the second toughness to power attack.
Put at least 1 rank into tumble to unlock the ability.
10 ranks in jump is enough (due to the mechanics of the skill).
I'd max haggle (might as well).
Hide is fine with less ranks - invisibility is an excellent replacement - but if you have extra skill points it's ok.
I'd max concentration (to 11 ranks) - this is fantastic to get scrolls off.

Very quickly you will find your strength to be higher than you dexterity so be prepared at that point to swap out weapon finesse for something more useful like improved critical: slashing (for when you get Epic Midnight Greetings) with the free feat swap from Fred.

For special feats I'd go like this:
10: Improved Evasion (life saver against those rolls of 1!)
    13: Skill Mastery
    16: Skill Mastery
19: Opportunist (this is only needed for end game raiding really)

Putting off Opportunist will only impact your ability vs undead and constructs which admittedly there is numerous amounts. If you plan to spend a while in necropolis 4 you can move Opportunist up to the level 16 slot (no need to farm it earlier). The advantage of putting off Opportunist is it will be that much easier to get to the magic 39 UMD number for no fail heal scrolls which will let you play the healer roll in the party if you like or at least BYOH (bring your own heals).

No need for the level up in dexterity at level 4, put all of them into intelligence and find a +1 tome dexterity tome for cheap.

There are a few things that I would do to play this build differently. They are merely my own play style and only suggestions.

1.) Use two level up ability raise for CON instead of INT. Use an INT item instead such as goggles or helm.

2.) Concentrate on one social skill: Bluff or Diplomacy. Spend a couple or a few ranks in swim, tumble, balance, etc...

3.) Try for more DEX through enhancements since it counts as attack bonus in this build; in addition to the other great things like

sneaking, hiding, lock picking, balance, tumble, and reflex saves.

4.) Your STR is high enough you could take TWF at level 3 before you take Finesse at level 6. Two weapons will help you more at lower levels before you need

    finesse at higher ones.

5.) Improved evasion is the best feat choice for rouge bonus, it also works on a lot of spell effects like rays and blade barriers.

Farm astral diamonds in game. I've been playing for only a year + a bit but I already have 2 astral diamonds. 3 more and I'll be able to do something with them.

Thanks for the feedback so far. A couple reasons why I thought of doing what I was doing) not saying it was correct):

    1. Ability raises - I figured putting the once raise in DEX and then the remaining into INT would be becuase I'm not sure on prices for +1 tomes (this is only my 2nd character on this server). I only put the point in DEX in case I couldn't afford a +1 tome. The 17 DEX would be for TWF feats. The INT increases would be for the Assassination ability later on. If I understand correctly, INT plays a role in that. That's why I figured to put as much as I could into that.
    2. Skill points - I found that I had around 11-12 points for each level to allocate but limited points that I could put for each skill per level. I could probably switch some of them around like what was suggested.

I'll be making some changes with this based on the feedback so far and after any other suggestions that may come in.

    Thanks!

You could still improve DEX through racial and class enhancements. Both rogue and drow offer DEX boost for 2 action points and then again for 4 points. No tomes or level ability raise required.

You will need the ability raise in DEX (through level up or tome); as the enhancements do not count towards qualifying for a feat.

I wouldn't advise going INT-based on a 1st-life rogue; while the boost to Assassinate DC is certainly nice, (epic) Midnight Greetings is the only weapon which benefits from INT, IIRC, so until you have those, your DPS will lag. A conventional STR or DEX-based rogue makes more sense, IMHO; save going INT-based for another day.

For a rapier finesse build, put all your lvl ups into dexterity. +1 tomes are relatively cheap and common at lvl 10-14, so that shouldnt be a problem. Switch out your second toughness for power attack DEFINITLY.

If you wanna go for a higher dps/more survivable build I'd go human duel wielding khopeshes, or halfling with rapiers, I just despise drow.
