    Default 37 hour TR

Two characters completed a 4.378M XP TR from level 1-20 in 37 hours and 5 minutes of gameplay: Flamicia and Hamada of Orien. This is Flamicia's 15th life (not a Completionist), Hamada's 6th life and our 3rd TR together. Gameplay occurred between Monday Nov 21 and Friday Dec 2. Time was measured by use of XP potions, so it does not include selling, repairing, banking, buffing or running to a quest (unless the quest was in a slayer area). We started with one 30% XP potion, and used 20% XP potions throughout the remainder. Between Nov 22 and Nov 30, a 10% XP bonus was in effect. That bonus accounted for 320k XP. Our playtimes are 8pm-midnight eastern M-F, with occasional playtime on Sunday (we both work full time). There were several times where we stopped XPing to jump on other characters to raid. Occasionally we had two guildies join us on first and second life toons, and they would drop group as soon as they capped. Every quest was run on elite the first time, within 2 levels of the quest, for the streak bonus. Our elite streak at level 20 was 87 quests. We didn't start holding any levels until we were level 8, then we held every level until 20.

446 xp short, so grabbed the bacon from Jeets
    --take levels 19+20-- (37h 5m) 4.378 million XP.

The above has room for improvement. Next life we won't be running Sorrowdusk at all. It was an experiment this TR life, but there was just way too much running around. We didn't run more than one Shadow Knight, as we simply couldn't find another trapper so two could be working at the same time (we usually do SK 6-7 times). We also came up short on House K favor, so ended up running VON1 and Last Stand way over level just for the favor (no XP). That time is included in the 37 hours, but the quests aren't listed above.

Some of our choices are personal. We try to minimize the amount of quests we run in Gianthold, as we're both insanely bored with those quests. We were very thankful to blow through level 15 while the 10% XP bonus was still in effect. I would love to see more XP efficient quests in this level range to supplement what's available from Gianthold.

Flamicia played a Warforged 14 Sorcerer/2 Rogue/4 Ranger (which will be LR+5'd into 9 Ranger/9 Sorcerer/2 Rogue for a Ranger past life). He took his rogue level at 7 (after acquiring Fireball) and at level 16 (after acquiring DBF). At least for the first elite run for a quest, he disabled traps for the bonus. Depending on the quest, he did traps every run strictly for the bonus. This is now his defacto TR build framework. For classes like favored soul where LR+5ing into his past life doesn't work, he takes one less rogue level (the rogue is for searching/disarming only; evasion is not important).

Hamada was a human 20 Favored Soul, with level ups into WIS. This was my 3rd favored soul TR life, and I absolutely loathe the low level favored soul caster experience. Flam pretty much carried me until 8th level when I picked up Holy Smite and could start contribute meaningfully. Once I hit level 12 and got Blade Barrier, I paid back the favor in spades for the remaining 3million XP.

We're both geared to the teeth: Vibrant Purple and Pale Lavendar Ioun Stones, large guild slot items, two Greensteel items, Torcs, Baubles, and every other twink TR item that might be useful.

We don't have any misconceptions that this is the fastest TR ever done. We searched, but didn't find anyone posting a faster time. So for now, this is the stake in the ground to challenge people to do a TR faster than 37h 5m. If you do it faster, please post your quest list.

We hope people find this information useful.

Dont have a quest list because I dont really care if it takes me 60hrs or 29hrs.

Last 20% week full guild group:

    Teth
    Nick
    Kit
    Jen
    Me

I used 5 20% pots to cap had little under 1 hr left.

    Your achievement is respectful tho.

    Grats.

good work, good achievement. always interesting to see the quest breakdown on fast TRs.

it's quite fast no doubt, but by counting the pot time i know some of my guildies have done it faster with using 5-6 pots (30-36h) to cap. i know of one using 5 pots with 1h left at cap (29h), maybe one of them will post a quest list.

I think that if you farm all parts of CO6 except the first you'll find that it is well worth it. The part where you destroy the summoning portals is one of the highest exp/minute quests in the game.

Thanks guys for posting your leveling roadmap. I usually shoot from the hip when solo leveling or simply attach myself to ayspams leveling routine. Awesome job on the 37 hours! Although not moving that fast this life with Ay (only two of us and on a barb this life) I thought I would try something different starting tomorrow. I read up and watched some twitchtv streams and decided to make my own for some ddo leveling. Not that anything marvelous will occur watching someone else leveling I just wanted to see how the live streams would work. You can check it out most of the day tomorrow at http://www.twitch.tv/jibcutter

I sat and watched this for fun and its actually quite amusing just for 30 minutes at a time, all the small quirks and oopses and misunderstandings that all groups have. Thx for putting it up!

How did you run Xorian Cipher 10 times in 53 minutes?

I could see 5 minute runs, if you just run by everything. The first part can be done in less than a minute. The second part, if you run and skip the chests and runes and go straight to the end I could see this getting done in 4 minutes. Mr Cow can do XC in 8min solo, but he spends several minutes setting up the pressure plates and he gets the chests.

It's a 4-5 minute quest when you zerg it with 3 people, skipping the traps, shrine and chests. We only disabled traps and used the shrine on the elite run. The prequest is less than 1 minute when you invis to the end.

It's simply to get us to level 4 as quickly as possible.

Doom of the Witchdoctor: Run invis from the beginning to the end of the quest. There's no fighting. If you're slow, you'll have to kill 1 spider before you finish out in the shrine room.

Stronghold Key: You have to loot a key and open a door. It can get hairy super quick with red alert (Hypnotism helps alot here). On normal it's not bad at all. It's mostly filler just to get us to level 4. Looking to find a substitute for this.

Both require having another character as an opener for the quest.
