Default DDO has added many new payment methods to the in-game Store!

DDO has added many new payment methods to the in-game Store! You can now choose from more options than ever before how you want to pay for points. Use the following instructions to access the new payment methods and take advantage of all the DDO Store has to offer:
    1. Open the Store and click the “Add Points” button
    2. Select the points bundle you wish to purchase
    3. Click the “More Payment Methods” button
    4. Click the “Even More Payment Methods” button
    5. Click the “Continue” button, and wait for the game to minimize
    6. In the web browser that opens, choose the payment option that best suits you!
    7. Once you have completed your purchase, maximize the game client by clicking on the icon in the toolbar
    8. Click the “Continue” button in the in-game Store
    9. Spend your points and enjoy the game!

A list of these new options would be great.

    Indeed.

Throw us "forum readers at work because we can't get on and play right now" folks a little bone?

All I see are pay with mobile options from PlaySpan (ultimatepay.com)
    At horrible TP:$ ratios.

Well, I suspect offering these payment costs turbine something, either a contract fee or a percentage of the cut going to the middleman, so I won't begrudge them adding more options which are less cost-efficient.. For those that can/do pay with the more cost effective options, nothing's going to change, while those that cannot get more choices available.

    Great news!

I live in Germany and dont use a credit card (as is common in Europe).
Just tried the direct debit option and it seemed to work.
Will see tomorrow whether my money is gone and TPs were granted.

    What about:

    10) Use DDO Store Points before purchase. Enjoy them and be fulfilled. Followed by making a sneak check to get out of the DDO Game World unnoticed or failing that having to wash Tolero's dishes before you can leave.... ?

Actually, I was originally going to have that be part of the same post, and I thought against it. So.. yeah. Nice Telepathy there :P Don't read any other thoughts, though - they just get worse from there.

If DDO didn't ignore a computer's default browser setting, rather than forcing it to open with IE, this might be a good idea. I think I'll stick with getting ripped off on buying TP from the DDO cards I can buy in local stores. At least then I won't have to deal with any security issues, related to a obsolete and useless browser.

Does it include the option of earning the TP by signing up for a magazine subscription, taking a survey, or some other Offer, perhaps all listed on a Wall?

Just tested this and it opened just fine in my default browser (Firefox).

Looks like a few sensible new options as well.

Still waiting for the payment option that says lifetime VIP for 100$ ... maybe we will just wait till SWTOR is live before we throw all the chips in ... U12 was so bad that i cant wait to play something else ... that pack should have been free to play.

if your gonna unbalance the entire game ... might as well let everyone in on the crazyness.

besides honestly how many ways do you need to waste your money

credit card ... gamecard ... paypal (aka checks)

that would be "Pay by Mobile". it uses your mobile phone credit to purchase TP, thats how i've been doing it for far too long, these changes are very much appreciated

I have to agree. Update 12, and Update 11 both broke the game.

Artificer Class is WAY too over powered.

Allowing the artificer class to double summon really over powered the artificer.
Giving the artificer limitless ammo added to it.
Giving the artificer the ability to use the INT stat for attack modifier on ranged weapons from a spell and not a feat broke the character.
Giving the Artificer free use of Repeating Cross Bows broke the artificer.
Adding the ability for artificers to be healed by repair magic broke the class.

This has been tested. Using a standard Min/Max combo this character build is broken. There is no reason a character should be able to run LONG dungeons 2 levels higher then them solo and w/o a hireling with out dieing.

As for the payment options, there are already ways to get points for free. Its call Favor Farming. Its not hard to get coins that way. if you have a friend of guild mate of level 10 to 13 then 5 people can get 25 coins every 40 mins. If you dont believe me, contact Ardamir on the Arg. Server or email me at ardamir@deathonddo.tk. Death and Devastation has figured it out. If you do the math... that means 300 coins every 8 hours you play.

As for the actual cost of the points, I am not suprised that they are adding more options at a much higher rate. Eventually the phone rate will probably become the true rate. Turbine is a business looking to make money. And like any true company rates will go up as much as they can as quickly as they can with out driving off the whole customer base.

    Ultamate Artificer Combo:
Human Artificer with living construct feat and Dragon Mark of Making chain.

    Pros:
    Bonus Feats and skill points
    Mana Free Healing
    Boost to crafting skills
    Self Healing like a cleric
Update 12 ring of artificer makes Artificer self heal at no mana cost, gives numerous boosts to repair magic, and only takes up 1 item slot as compaired to 2 slots with no auto-heal option when using cannith crafting.

    Cons:
Weakened healing from positive energy magic (fixable with enhancment points)
Weak vs Posion and disease (Fixable with magic Items)
No Evasion (Fixable with cross Classing to monk or Rogue)

I was posting as a follow up to a post by Drfirewater79. Venting a little, bragging a little, and giving my 2 cents.
