Default Elite Hold for Reinforcements - pacifist style (zero party kills)

Two dwarfs (and Inferus Sus) does it again! by request, we completed Hold for Reinforcements on elite - level appropriate, of course - with our team of artificers (and my caster from Inferus) exclusively not killing a single mob...our dogs did the work for us!

It took us 3 attempts, we had to use a few tricks (including a hireling cleric, my caster passing out resists, and me knocking out coyle throughout the duration of the quest) not a single party member killed a single mob - not so much as a single point of damage. the kills were exclusively the dogs.

Oh, and not only did none of the players kill anything - we were 3 players controlling 5 boxes, (6th hireling healer just for safety on coyle).

    keepsake screenies:

Go go the doggies! (man I hate that quest - I admire your fortitude for being able to stomach this.)

Those doggies are surprisingly useful - one was used to do the von5 rune this morning.

I'd say the real accomplishment is getting all the dogs lined up like that. But hey, well done.

I'd hardly call sicking 4 vicious dog-golems on a pack of poor, unsuspecting monsters a "Pacifist" act

nah getting the dogs lined up was the easy part, we had all the time in the world after completion to line them up...we got it perfected after our last pacifist act!

yes the 855 base exp for this quest is an absolute joke - even with the nice 80% first time bonus, we still ended up with less than 2k exp after the 15 minute pike-fest..guess I can't complain too much since I didn't have to kill anything.

At first I was looking at this thinking W T F is going on here. Now I'm LMAO. Very nice. For my 3 arti lives my pet was named completlyuseless, now I'm thinking EE LOB arti pets! That would be awsome. Again, very nice.

    Heh, my old thread necroed

The dogs are far from useless if you put a little bit of work into them enhancement and gear-wise.

Yes, there are a few situations where there limited A.I. just flat out handicaps them (such as boss fights in which running away from certain attacks is necessary, or standing behind a raid boss).

...Of course we could simply fix that by mounting our runearms on their backs and let them range >
