A balanced party = 6 different classes.
1 favored soul
That sounds very balanced to me. Times that by 2 for a raid group. How many clr fvs are their?
When groups start to take 5+ favored soul is when it gets unbalanced, I never took more then 2.
The devs - specificly madfloyd and kookiekobold are well aware of exactly how these went. kookie was infact present for several of my runs watching us, and the revenats epic completion runs as well.
Thanks for the feedback guys. They'll be some tweaks coming in soon, and many bug fixes. There are still bits of complexity to the Lord of Blades that we hope to be to realized Artificer raid as well.
I'll toss out a few general hints that hopefully won't spoil to much. I'll try to be vague.
1. Epic just isn't epic without an anti rezz mechanic. We won't be turning off raise dead entirely but it will get more difficult to raise your dead on the harder difficulties.
2. We hope to enhance the player side of "Power of the Forge" more if you care to try it out again next patch.
3. I think you'll see the LOB pet hounds stick around more, their self heal mechanic was bugged
4. Alot of talk about Wing Clip & Favored Souls...You and us both. We're looking into that and yet.. we are concerned, like globally on a system wide scale concerned about leap kiting abilities being too uber, making the run and gun trivial and cutting melee players out of boss fights while their at it.

Leap of faith, among other abilities, is now under review.
While this ability has been in its current form for some time, our new ventures into the raid space have reminded the systems team just how “uber” these feats are at kiting our bosses. We’ve become very concerned recently in the new post spell pass environment that this form of “boss kiting” over “boss tanking” will side line melee.
Leap of Faith’s original design did not account for continuously or methodically use to be so game deforming and we’re regretting its current parameters so expect them to change…. Very soon.
Please feel free to comment here. We welcome your alpha strike of feedback Our current thinking is to keep this fairly minimal, cool down and or cost adjustments really.

Oh just make it in raids more or less if you are nerfing leap of faith. I think it is fun for players to leap around town or in a dungeon or explorer area or what have you. If it is raids where you fear it is creating problems then perhaps just change it there.

Instead of nerfing a class feature (Leap of Faith) that was already a nerf of a class feature that FvSes get in D&D 3.5 (Fly), perhaps the Devs should look into what causes monsters/bosses to do stupid things like constantly follow something they cannot catch up with.
That is, the problem is NOT with the "kiter," it's with the "kitee." FIX THE BOSSES' AI!

If the main concern here is kiting raid bosses, why not code in a bell of opening style dc 99 diplo check with leap of faith.
The ONLY reason I paid real money for favored soul over rolling up a cleric is, was and will forever be Leap of faith, the ability awed me when i was new and i love using it now. Changing this is bad.

Stating an ability is not working as intended years after it has been released and paid for by thousands of people seems (thinking of a way to say this without getting banned) .. Rather lacking, hindsight perhaps?
Rather than spending time on this, how about doing some physics work, my sword / fists / staff have a range in front of me, yet if i'm chasing a target i have to be standing on top of them or slightly in front (fists) to land an attack.
As it is now in live the only situation i regularly see a fvs kite a boss in a full group is New Invasion, occasionally using it to kite when chaos ensues. It is 99% of the time more effective let the melee do their thing.
Think, make other changes, Do anything but take my wings from me or i'll demand a recount err. refund
