Bring out 3 gnome subraces simultaneously:
    1. Gnome, +2 con, -2 str, F2P
    2. Tinker Gnome, +2 int, -2 wis, P2P, free to VIPs
    3. Deep Gnome, +2 dex, +2 wis, -2 str, -4 cha, tough favour unlock (or buy from store)

Gnomes have plenty of other traits that can be found here.

I wrote a thread suggesting gnomes here which developed quite a few different ideas.

One in particular that I liked is that rather than introducing the gnome hooked hammer (as we don't need more weapon types) to let gnomes treat heavy picks as 2 handed weapons with +1 damage die when their offhand is empty (so a heavy pick becomes a 2d6, x4 weapon in the hands of a gnome). This would give gnomes a nice melee niche.

New illusion spells are important too. There's a great thread floating around with practical illusion spells that could be introduced without too much harm while still being different enough that they would be good additions to the game.

Tinker gnomes are from the Dragonlance setting (and Spelljammer setting).

They are not a canon Eberron race.

Standard gnomes are an Eberron race.

I'd personally rather have Kalashtar or Kobolds, but Gnomes wouldn't be bad.

I have not notice that there are plenty stat adjustments for them depending of D&D edition. In AD&D this race is known for their affinity with machines so ARTIFICER GNOME is very acceptable. Gnome Druid, maybe.

Please no. They are ugly and annoying. I have yet to make any LFG that exclude anything but if Gnomes were in I would definately exclude them.

New races - yes please. New classes - even better. Finish the PRCs for existing classes - pure win. Gnomes - are - for - garden - decorations.

    Tinker Gnomes FTW!!!

    So totally signed!!!

I want my gnome Druid Illusionist!

    I know you're thinking "A What!?"

Well; you see... There was this encounter with an errant fireball...
And he sort burned down a sacred forest....
And the goddess of the forest got sort of... Angry...

So she decided to teach him a lesson...
And then everything went all dark...
And when he woke he had this compulsion to be a Druid...

Strangely... He grew to love it!

So who else out there wants them as much as me, lets let the DDO comunity hear us.

And while we are at it, what should there abilities be?

    +2 Int, -2 Wis?
    +1 DC to Illusion Spells?

    I approve of gnomes...tinker gnomes +2 Int/Dex, -2Str/Wis

Bonuses with Illsuion Spells (hopefully come with a few new ones) and the Shadowcraft Racial PrE

Making them contendors (but not OP) for Rogues, Wizards, Artificers

Why change their stat mods leave it at +2int/Dex, -2Str,Wis (limit to one enhancement either +2 int or +2 dex...possibly 1 of each)

    Default Agree with OP

I still agree with the OP - base races and classes before the rest... that means gnomes and druids (even though I'll never play a druid!).

But, BTW, I see people talking about the bonuses to illusion spells - true, that's original PNP racial abilities, but aren't there only 2 illusion save spells in the game (Hypnotic Pattern and Phantasmal Killer)? It'd probably mean adding a few more illusion spells - but, hey, that'd be great too!

No gnomes please. I'd like to see shifters first, then kalashtar, then gnomes.

I'd be all for gnomes. To me, it would be hilarious to see a gnome barb tanking Horath.

Some might like gnomes (I don't :P) but that aside I think having them as the next race would be kinda waste.

We could have some funnier races added before them...and I think it's either gnomes or kobolds anyway, so kobolds! YARK!

And ofc kalashtar and shifters or even tieflings would be a better addition than gnomes too, imho.
