Absolutely, buying turbine points for money is much easier. That goes without saying.

I added the build I use for favor farming to the OP, and also included a parenthetical to the beginning of the OP noting the addition of the new German server.

Anyone up for doing this for December sales?
I will be getting a minimum of 50 TP an evening.

If so, catch me on ARGO: bilbojr, bilbowiz, sneakybilbo or bfreida

If you are soloing and wanted to replace Elites with harbor & Market place normal/Hard what would you suggest?

Cool thread, its good that someone made another one of these threads. I made one myself a long time ago but being inactive I'm sure it slipped out of the forums quite a bit.

Anyhow, to give you some idea of what to do strath you might check out the guide in my signature: Favor Grinding and Turbine Points. There I made a list regarding the quests in terms of what I found to be easy/short, easy/long, or harder; all listing the amount of favor you get from doing them on elite. Just note I listed that from the perspective of a level 4 Drow Paladin so that might bias a bit if you are not a VIP. As a note I would strongly suggest you still run some quests on Elite. Most of the quests are doable even if you solo them on Elite.

In terms of what you might do though - get to Stage 3 as can be seen from the suggestion the opener made. After you do that, go to stage 4 but don't run any of the quests on Elite from Korthos. Make up the lost 21 favor by running Missing in Action in the Marketplace then Smuggler's Warehouse and Stealthy Repossession in the Harbor on Hard; along with the solo quests Home Sweet Sewer and and Miller's Debt.

Now, if your having troubles with quests on Hard then the only proper advice I can give you is to find someone who can teach you the tricks to easy successful completions for the earlier quests on a powerful build you can use. That or consider doing Misery's Peak, Walk the Butcher's Path, the Baudry Cartamon quest chain, and the other two Solo Harbor Quests Arachnophobia and Explosive Situation as needed to make up lost experience.

Any plans to update this with the addition of Vet 2?

I did an Arti that took 55 minutes from creation to deletion.

I am curious if that is something worthwhile to add. I need to do a couple more runs to verify the total time and see if I can improve.

I didn't have any plans, no, but am open to ideas. What are you thinking?

My 100 favour runs have taken closer to four hours each so far but that's including n/h/e and breakables. I could invisirun(is that working again?) but I usually just play the quests I like.

Iconics have made this viable. Assault on Splinterskull chain on Elite rewards 99 Favor, you don't have to go anywhere so no running around and took me about an hour to get through the whole chain. Most of it can be just run through without killing anything. Can't see much being faster than that assuming you have Iconics.
If real life had a block function i would probably go out more.

That's so full of win it's overflowing.

I'll edit the OP once I get my head wrapped around it. I'm reluctant to suggest "run once on elite" since unlocking elite is a vip thing, and this is mainly written with premiums in mind. They also may not own tangleroot.

But surely there's a bunch of high-favor fast-completion quests we can pick and choose from between levels 1 and 15. Suggestions welcome.

I set up a F2P account as a "favor grinder" account and I used the principles found in this thread to help. Thank you for posting it.

I have a few thoughts, based on recent experiences, that could update this. Here they are:

    1. The U19 changes made a lot more characters easily viable for the 100 favor dash. I ran an elven spellsinger bard, an elven palemaster with skelly summon, a human sorcerer, a human dark disciple cleric, a dwarven occult slayer barbarian, a dwarven Tempest ranger, a dragonmarked halfling fighter, and a dragonmarked halfling rogue. You can probably immediately tell that they're not all about min/max, and yet I've gotten quickly and easily to 825 TPs with these characters and I'm closing out the run to 1000 TPs (8 servers now) fairly soon. The U19 changes are a key reason for how easy this has become.

Basically, you hire Byron Scoutsword as soon as possible after leaving the Grotto (level 1 warforged barbarian hire in Korthos) and then run all 4 in-town Korthos missions, once for each difficulty up until elite. You then have 30 favor. Then you can do a "normal" run for the rest of Korthos, to get up to mid to high 40s -- mostly for gear such as the healing cloak (Redemption) and to complete the first Korthos set. Then you can run Harbor missions to hard (while level 1) and then to elite (when level 2) to finish up. I usually do Kobold's New Ringleader, Haversdasher, Recovering the Lost Tome, Bringing the Light, and Garrison's Missing Pack (mostly Coin Lord favor missions). I also generally do Sunken Sewer in Marketplace. All of these missions are walk-ups that take little time to complete two or three times in quick succession.

After a mercenary's 1 hour timer expires, I make a point to do all the solo missions in Harbor for an easy 8 Coin Lord favor, before hiring another mercenary.

Hopefully this helps in some way, and thanks again for the OP and the follow-up.

Yip Icons make this a breeze role up a cleric in 5 min take him out and run quest dropping BB every where completion is really fast and easy.

There have also apparently been some changes to allow running two games at the same time much easier than before as well. One could theoretically make a spare f2p account simply to hold certain quests up on elite, and then you just blast through them that way. May require turning graphics settings down and all, but it shouldn't be too hard to do. This computer is several years old, and I might be able to run two with a bit of lag, but nothing major that I can't handle. It kills the time roughly in half.

The below list assumes running on Elite but they are all free to play quests.

Tear Of Dhakan = 21 favor.
Kobolds New Ringleader = 12 favor.
Information Is Key = 12 favor.
Garrisons Missing Pack = 12 favor.
    Durk's Got A Secret = 12 favor.
    The Collaborator = 12 favor.
Walk The Butchers Path = 12 favor.
    Sunken Sewer = 12 favor.

    Total Favor = 105.

All of these are in or around the Harbor and Marketplace so little running to do except for The Collaborator which is on Korthos but could probably swap that for something else. Tear Of Dhakan is quite long but if using an Iconic it won't matter plus you wouldn't be getting the optionals so could be done pretty quick, failing that could just replace it with 2 other quests which are fast to complete.

    @magn0liafan

How do you do the Korthos Island quests without doing the village ones first?

Same goes for the earlier post that recommended The Collaborator without the first three.

Edit: Doh, I see you have them in the first (elite) section up there. :P

So, here's the build (with Character Planner, had to manually add an enhancement as the planner's slightly out of date) with regard to U19.

    Did they remove the repeating?

I just did it twice. First time making character on server got 25+25 points. Then next character got nothing, so I deleted both and started again. I did elites on 3 and hard on 4th in tutorial, for no points.

Previously, I had only used 6 of the 7 servers. I made 2 characters on each server, and got points from each. I saved enough for vet status 1 - level 4 start. Prices sure jumped since I played back then.

I used a cleric. starts with about 85 hp, has over 200 spell pnts for heals. specialized in sword for class. Using the armor and shield, starting with 28 AC. Human for extra feats. Stats at 14,14,14, 8,14, 8. Bonus in str x2, then dex x2. Upgrade equipment doing the quests for about 32 AC.

Hating the oozes on farms, so doing some solos for 2 each.

I play the game with my wife so 2 accounts with capped characters. Roll w/e new character run these once on elite with capped guy, new guy parked in quest. Delete new char. Reroll a new one ...win. You can even skip a few as you have plenty here to get to 100.

    1) Heyton's Rest 6 korthos
    2) Storehouse Secret 6 korthos
    3) Cannith Crystal 6 korthos
    4) Collaborator 12 korthos
    5) Bringing The Light 6 harbor-leaky dinghy
    6) Information Is Key 12 harbor-leaky dinghy
    7) Haverdasher 6 harbor
    8) Durk's Secret 12 harbor
    9) Garrison's Pack 12 harbor
    10) The Lost Tome 9 harbor
    11) Kobolds new ringleader 12 harbor
    12) Butcher's Path 12 harbor
    13) the sunken sewer 9 marketplace
    14) swiped signet 12 marketplace
    Total favor in all(elite) = 132

With Iconic and vet status there no need even for a capped character but is worth it if only to open once on elite and not have to repeat them 3 times.
