    Default Advice about 32pts TWF Warchanter

    Hello,

    i'm really new to the game. So far i've reached lvl 13 with Tihocan's really fun 28 pts warchanter.

    I'm planning to re-roll as soon as i get the veteran status and go with a TWF 32 pts bard warchanter. Because i solo a lot, i'd like to be able to do traps and locks. I read a lot about the "15 bards 3 fighters 2 rogues" builds on the forum but i dont seem to find anything that fits what i want.

    has a lot of what i want but no trap skill and it requires 2 tomes ( i'd rather not have to use tomes if possible)

    To sum up i'd like :

    - Warchanter with good DPS
    - Self Sufficient with UMD + good healing spells
    - Able to do locks and traps
    - I'd like if it's 2WF but i dont mind if it's 2HF
    - 32 pts build with no tomes (or very few +1 if absolutly necessary)
    - i dont have any uber gear.

    Can you point me to some thread i might have missed or help me with a build of yours ?

    Veterans Status, i.e. 1000 favor, do not unlock 32 points builds. You need 1750 favor, or buy it from the DDO store.

    This is probably the tricky part, as most TWF builds require a +1 or +2 DEX tome to be optimal. Adding trap skills is also a bit tricky, as you need enough INT for trap skills & bard skills - don't want to gimp either. Finally as pointed out, Veteran status is different from 32-pt builds; you've still got a ways to go to unlock the latter.

    What you could do is a drow TWF bard once you unlock Vet status; you've already unlocked drow and their bonuses to DEX, INT, and CHA are all useful. The build I have only requires a +1 DEX tome. Their main drawback is they're squishy: -2 CON plus low-HP classes makes for challenging times.

    You could also do bard 16 / rogue 2 instead: give up some trap skills & +1D6 SA for lvl 6 spells; MCMW & Otto's Irresistible would be my choices, esp. if you want to be a healer too.

    The key skills on this build are Concentration, Perform, UMD, Search, and Disable; I also like have max Diplomacy (shedding aggro is good when you're this squishy) with leftover pts into Open Lock. But Haggle is another option if you don't have a haggle-bot yet; or extra pts into Spot, more OL, Balance - ultimately it's your call.

    Thank you unbongwah. I think the build i want to play is probably too ambitious and i should focus on doing less things but better.

    I will think about that
