    Question Half-races stat change?

    Hi,

I looked in the DDO compendium at half-orc and half-elf, but could not see if the get any stat increase/decrease or any other advantage/disadvantage.

Is the compendium incomplete or am I missing something?

Hope you know what I mean

    Regards,
    A

IIRC Half-Orcs are +2 Str, -2 Cha, -2 Wis and have lots of enhancements that boost damage output with a two-handed weapon. They are the best race if you want to do damage and don't mind mediocre HP.

Half-elves have no stat changes, and combine all but the best Human enhancements, all but the best Elf enhancements, and unique abilities via half-elf only Dilletante feats. They are a great race for players that favor versatility.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

I find that the ddowiki is far more reliable and useful for things like that.

Well, if they're mediocre, so are everyone except dwarves and WF (Humans can add 1, which is something i spose.) Mediocre would be drow/elf, IMHO. But otherwise, correctamundo

Dwarf/WF: +2 racial CON, +2 CON enhancement, racial toughness IV

Human/Helf: +0 racial CON, +1 CON enhancement, racial toughness III

Horc/Halfling: +0 racial CON, +0 CON enhancement, racial toughness II

Elf/Drow: - 2 racial CON, +0 CON enhancement, racial toughness II

Or in other words, Horcs are as tough as Halflings ... wait.....Halflings have better fort saves than horcs

Half-Orcs are 60 HP behind the high HP races, at least in maximum potential HP, and only 20 above the two squishy races. They also don't have any other survivability enhancements, like racial DR options or healing amp.

But if dishing out pain is what you want to do - no race does it better.
