If it does.. file planet does have hi rez and not standard.
No, high rez bin files as of June come up to 4.5 gig zipped. File planet does not have the hi res files at this time. "DDO_US_FP_U8P3_042011.zip 3,875.5 MB "
Now, this is the link I used.
Is there a different link? One that may actually have Hi Rez on file planet?
No additional usable links that I can find. Searching file planet only resulted in a lot of blank (body)(/body) styled html pages. No content within.

My gf has been trying to DL ddo via pando last night , and it just keeps stopping over and over.
Convinced her to go over to fileplanet and poof its done ,too bad it might not be the high rez version .
But seriously Turbine you should really look @ this , think of the # of new players and all the $$$ your missing out on when someone wants to try your game but the POS downloader does NOT work.
Because I was having the same issues with Pando in March; Hence this thread.
I did a search of fileplanet and came up with the same results you did ( no high res ). However, they did have it, because I currently have the high res client, and I downloaded it from them about three days after this thread was posted.

Ok, just did my own google search and I found these places with high res download links that appear to work. No clue what version they have or such. Just so long as I got a file size reported of better than 4 gig, and a download started I figured it was a good start.
My google search was "dungeons and dragons online hi resolution" and I found these links on the first two pages of hits, and only took 10 minutes to verify I could start a download from each place.
I tried this as a non subber on each. I do not know if the downloads will complete or what virus status they have.
edit: Added a 4th link.

I used the link from Atomic Gamer (mirror #1), and after choosing to install in the original Turbine directory it is currently updating files after a successful installation. It's still updating (on it's 2nd round of 9000~ files), and I'll let you all know how it turns out

Thank you dude.

does anyone know, about standalone installation, that you can get from file planet DDO_US_FP_U8P3_042011, which updates does this relese covers? is it up to update 8 or maybe above??
and if so, is there any other pack that covers latest updates like update 11 or 12, im wondering cause i would like to download it for my causin, and he sometimes format windows drive so he need to install all updates again no matter if the game is complete on another drive, so he need to download all over again using launcher and do it online, he has download limitation
I'd say if you don't have any download limitations, just download it from Turbine.
yes, it uses the crappy pando, but pulls down all the install files that youc an save and do what you want with.
What version it has internal? I don't know. Couldn't tell you.
But after you get done, you'll want to uninstall pando.

Bit of a necro but I found while using pando I was gettn up to slightly less then 2mb's a second. I think it was 2100 kbps.
It whipped through that high res package in no time. Which also brings a new question, whats the differance between the low res and the high res packet? Seems like theirs a 2 gb difference, but when I logged in didn't seem any different.
Is the difference in the ability to take the graphics one step further at highest settings?
On my old computer I was using the low res version with low graphics because I quad box and didn't want to burn out my system. But I threw it to high settings when I was only playing one account and it was a pretty impressive change.
I just dropped a whole whack of cash on a top of the line machine and put the high res instaaltion on and i now quad box at full everything and I'll tell you it's almost like a brand new game. Some of it is certainly due to going from directx9 to 11, but I can certainly see amazing difference with the textures of the surfaces. The airship deck actually looks like wood. Armor and skins of beasts are more vibrant and you can see details I couldn't see before. Combined with crazy shadows it was surreal and took me a few days to get used to. The first time an airship passed over head freaked the hell outta me.
If the only thing that the high res pack has different is textures, it's well worth it in my mind, especially if you have the hardware to run it.
what version is the one on steam?
PS: Greensteel RUINED the game! and you all know it!
less buffing, more nerfing!!!
to make it easier for those of you that wants to avoid me in game, all my characters are in "Bladesworn Mercenaries"
