Default To Mr. You need moar hjealers in your shroud

    No, I didn't.

I don't usually lead shrouds or much else, mostly because my wife hits me if interrupt the tv, not because I can't. I do appreciate your advice though. I had been drinking and really needed a reason to yell at someone.

There was only 1 death in the run. It was in part 2. It was me. I forgot I was the healer, which happens from time to time. I am sure the dps I thought I was contributing was missed. (Somebody might have bit it in pt 5, it is a little hazy)

In part 4 and 5 the only meta's I had on were maximize and empower healing. I used an ardor clickie from an amarath belt, but I am not sure if it helps, but what the hell, it is free. I only cast cml and cmm to get through those battles. There was a bard and he may have cast some healing spells, I am not sure, like I said I had been drinking. I do know he put some kind of sp restore voodoo on me because I saw blue numbers and I wasn't in a pool. I didn't drink any pots, but I would if I had to. Sometimes I stand in the marketplace and just chug 8 or 9 majors just to **** people like you off. I am a giver.

Anyway, I know your shroud runs need 3 healers. There is a reason. You might look into why that is.

    Love,

    stainer

I heard a rumor that the Shroud CANNOT be completed with a single healer and that all reports of such are just a big conspiracy.

From your long history on the forums, I know that you are incapable of deception--so I take you at your word that you believe you did a Shroud with one healer. However, I ask you to consider that you might have missed that there were one or two other clerics in the group. Maybe you just didn't see them.

Really, just think about it. How could you get through part 3 without at least 2 people keeping the melee alive through those blades? I don't want to even think about part 4 or 5. Goodness. I need to take a little rest.

    Shroud: BYOH.

    Film at 11.
Advocating repeated nerfs in the name of "balancing the game" then complaining about how DDO is moving away from D&D, is a direct contradiction in logic - D&D 3.5 (what DDO is based on) is not a balanced game. We can either have a balanced clone MMO with homogenized classes, or we can have a D&D game. We cant have both.

Generally the amount of healers you need is proportional to the quality of dps .

Ive never failed a shroud with 3 healers , Ive been on a few fails where there where fewer healers , I like to run with at least 2 and if a third hits the lfm thats ok with me too.

Id hate to be solo healing and disconnect .

I generally wont take more than 2 casters unless the group looks solid and we have an empty spot at the end but that tends to be my only hard rule .

I did sit waiting for the second fvs mana to run out at part 5 today before joining in and realised that it wasnt going to run out before the boss died so I emptied a bit of blue bar into over healing so it looked like I had done something .

I know u were drunk, but the toon with the little wings icon is not your personal angel (if it was, it would not have ignored your request to fly to the corner for another case o' PBR). Nor, despite what some of those little wing toons like to pretend, is it a high dps toon. It's actually a healer. You know how the party's red bars were still going back up even though u were busy cracking another beer, scratching yourself, and wiping drool off your chin? That isn't because they were getting aroused at your sexy voice....Just sayin....

P.S. In all seriousness, I completely agree. Solo healing shroud norm is not a big deal. Two healers it is preferred in case of lag or an inadvertant DC (using the cable modem as a coaster for your beer does that). But really, it speaks more to the melee's weak dps, lack of HP, fortification, toughnes, and testicular toughness than anything if they want more healers.

*** is with people? I've solo healed Hard Shrouds on splashed Clerics. I've healed Shrouds on a Bard.

Is this like the recent rash of people who need ship buffs for Reaver?

That is so true for every quest and every wipe and every pot drank.

If the melee asks "Why didn't you heal me before I died?", Healer response should be "Why didn't you kill it before you died?"

There was a bard. They are always going on about "we can hjeal too". If I dc'd or passed out the group would have been ok. Maybe.

Favored Souls have angel wings. I like Angel Soft for every wipe. Coincidence? I think not.

Agreed, all it takes is one or two Cure mass spells and half a brain (even one filled with hops) and you should be fine. Most bards I see at least have the two cure mass spells covered.

Cos then I can pike at the back and shout random encouragements , theres always plenty of healers to go round , Id never wait for a third healer but I like the security of having a second one and if someone hits the lfm I dont mind letting them join anyway if I have what I want already ( 2healers ,2 casters ,3-4 sturdy looking dps ) the rest of the group can be whatever they like .

    Default Smooth Run

I was in that party last night on my dps and it was smooth running. Stainer has dragged my cleric on a Shroud before as a solo healer with a bard back up. When he died in part 2 there were a few snickers I think but there were more than one person that could have rezed him. We had fun.

I was on this run, I can confirm only 1 stainer death. I even tried to die and pike in pt4 but i kept getting healed. The world is a sad crazy place now.
