Question Pure Good Weapon without Required Trait: Good ?

I was searching for some low level Khopeshs for my rogue and found that:

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

As I dont have enough plat I cant buy this khopesh and test if a True Neutral character can use this weapon without UMD.

Is it some kind of bug?

Someone already saw some weapon like that ?

Looks like you have enough UMD on the character to use PG weapons- the problem may be that one is a ML:6, the other is ML:10. Is the character level 10 yet?

It is some sort of bug. My first guess is maybe that the DR breakers that come out of Devil Assault can come out like that.

My CN Ranger weilds 2x True Chaos Khopesh of Pure Good.

The Chaotic restriction seems to overwrite the Good restriction.

So far as I can tell, any weapon with an alignment based prefix (Holy, Anarchic, Axiomatic, True Chaos, & True Law) that either requires UMD, or grants a negative level, will overwrite the alignment based restrictions of it's suffix.

    Holy overwrote Pure Good.

    You're probably right.

I've noticed something similar with the Greatclub of the Scrag.

It's supposed to be Chaotic-only yet a True Neutral character can use it without any ranks in UMD.

    The character's UMD is 10

I didn't know that was possible.

I just checked my own Holy of PG, and it doesn't apply for Holy. True Chaos and all those, yea, but Holy doesn't have the same rule because Holy doesn't have its own requirement check (hence no requirement check to overwrite PG's).

I can confirm that at least some of the Devil Assault normal/hard special material weapon drops do not require UMD on Pure Good items - a guildie just looted a +5 byshek d-axe of pure good, no alignment requirements.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

That's pretty neat. Will have to find a good lowbie weapon for putting ice games ritual on for TRs.

I just came across a seemingly rare and mystical item on the auction house. I probably paid too much for it, it's not exactly a game breaking item, but I think my chaotic neutral, no umd, raging Barb, is gonna love bashing Flensers with it. Too bad it's not an axe though...

But yeah, no "good" restriction, or umd required. It seems in this case the metal property negates the traditional pure good requirements. Sweet!

I'm also a big fan of the "true chaos of pure good items" that offer the chaotic restriction instead of good.

I also noticed that the UMD requirement for Pure Good is ignored if the weapon has a Race Requirement that the character meets.

it's not all that special. all cannith-crafted weapons have no UMD requirements, so you can get bascally the same weapon anyways, and it won't even be very uncommon.

Didn't realize that crafted pure good doesn't have the requirement either. Good to know. Not that I'm any where close to crafting unbound PG shards, but still good to know

Cannith PG weapons have an ML 3 higher than non-Cannith ones, however, as Cannith treats Pure Good as a +2 equivalent while lootgen treats it as a +1.

I think The_Cataclysm is right in his post up near the top of the thread. A guildy and I were curious about a PG weapon he had with no alignment requirement, and as luck would have it we ran an epic DA shortly after and another one dropped. I think these PG weapons with no alignment requirement come from DA, but I can't say for sure.
