    Default Recommendations on Sneak Humping...

So... as sneak humping has recently been discussed:

I once saw a great video - SNL: Wade Blasingame Dog Attorney -
that basically showed all of the things you would not let your neighbor do, yet people let their dogs do.

    Examples:
    1. You would not let your neighbor chew your newspaper - yet people let their dogs do that to their neighbors.
    2. You would not let your neighbor yell all night, yet people let their dogs bark all night.
    3. You would not let your neighbor defecate in your yard, yet people let their dogs defecate in their neighbor's yard.
    4. - and most importantly -
    5. You would not let your neighbor hump you or your guests, yet people let their dogs do this.

So, shadow humping is probably not the thing to let your guild mates do.

    Just saying

Might want to limit that behavior to being inside of instances as opposed to public instances.

EDITED TEXT BELOW - SEE MY RESPONSE, TOP OF PAGE THREE: (this was supposed to be humorous, sheesh)

I believe, if asked, the producers at DDO are not going to be advertising Broccoli shadow humping the dragon any time soon, while joyously exclaiming "I'm Shadow Humping!" That defines what is commonly acceptable in DDO - public perception. Can you imagine the consumer base? "But mom, WoW is so 2008 - you can SHADOW HUMP in DDO!!"

Personally, I no more want to see shadow humping than I want to see two people cybering in DDO, or some halfling with high jump skill jumping up in my face shouting 'teabagged, teabagged!!'

In DDO it is not 'commonly practiced' to go 'shadow humping' people. If you do it in private, or in a group instance, more power to you - you can cyber there as well.

MadFloyd - there actually used to be a really cool bug back in 2006 (late summer) where if you were running and went into sneak mode your character kind of laid down on the ground and slid around (I called it my Caddy). That one was pretty fun

Here's an idea: Instead of banning people, fix the animation/code.

Um, I'm almost afraid to ask, but exactly just what is 'sneak humping'?
The kobold cannot be marked as junk because it cannot be sold. You can destroy it by dragging and dropping it outside your inventory.

I'm a bit surprised that a dev wouldn't know about it. Ask Tolero. She probably could explain it.

The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

If the devs take away sneak humping, I'm outta here. That's the last straw!

    Go into sneak.

Press the jump (spacebar), a lot, very fast.

You can guess from there what it probably looks like.

Or how about you just don't do it. That's like saying to get rid of highways because people speed - or you could just ticket them.

OMG, I just laughed so hard I started crying....which was awkward cause then I had to explain to my wife why I was laughing so hard......

LMAO to this being bannable. this is the funniest thing I have ever seen in this game. If people are so friggin square that they cannot see humor in this, then they should probably quit playing a game that is based on devils and demons!

Yes, it should be possible for a character to use Jump and Hide at the same time, if his skill numbers in both were high enough.

Nothing really worth a dev's time.
Here, let us go and fix those ill-aimed fireballs, and maybe have a talk with guys in charge of half elf models.
I have an idea or two you might want to give a glance to.

You probably shouldn't have made that show up in the dev tracker, MadFloyd...

I remember sneak humping fights and chains. "Well, if I'm going to get violated, I'm humping someone else too!" no different than looking for ham. Just something to do while a raid fills.
