I think it would be awesome if they would sell enhancements to items in the DDO Store, as opposed to magical items themselves. You could buy a kit that adds vorpal to a +5 longsword for 500 TPs if you want. The process would bind the item to your character and raise the minimum level of the item so it would be normal for an item of such power (and wouldn't stack on top of existing prefixes like the icy burst kits from the Risia Games), but it would save willing and able players the time of grinding to find that one type of item they want. The process would only add prefixes and suffixes, couldn't be used on or to create named items, and therefore would still be inferior to green steel. But for those who have yet to gather all the components for their green steel item of awesome, it would be a way to get a halfway decent item to hold it's place in the meantime.
Sell +1 Green Steel Weapons in the store and have Small Ingredients (or some type of lower than Small) drop in the quests in Korthos. Have an altar in the village itself to add the tier 1 (or less powers than Tier 1) effects only.
Then when they get to doing the actual Shroud, they can chuck the weapon with some other ingredients into the Phase 1 Altar to upgrade it to a standard Green Steel Weapon.
This would allow Turbine to sell +1 Weapons in the DDO Store that has a potential purpose and for those that can't be bothered doing quests for the small ingredients they can purchase them off the DDO Store.
While we are on the subject of Shroud, a couple of things:
1) If you want to sell weapons, why not sell something with a +6 and something with a +8 rating in the DDO store? It can be a crappy, never usable combination (Vicious of Tendon Slice) or something, but it's really annoying to forget a vendor trash weapon to power up your high energy cells and not be able to finish your tier III for another three days. It would be great to grab that from the store real quick. And it wouldn't really affect gameplay or challenge level of any quest, etc. Just a convience. If you don't like that, how about letting the skelly vendor in part III sell a couple weapons that could power up med/high energy cells.
(I know this one is off topic, but it does apply to selling in the store...)
2) Why can I buy small ingredients in the store, like small scales, small stones, small bones, etc but not buy the vale quest ingredients like funk, twigs, husks, fungi, etc. (forget lilly petals...those grow on trees...)? The altar of fecundity ingredients in meridia should be available in the store before the smalls, imo. And what about an NPC that would change out 3 for 1 on these ingredients like the NPC in gianthold who will change out relics for you? That would be really nice too.

Need you ask? Why are you selling plus one weapons in the store anyway?
I know after TSR gave up the rights to D&D things got a little ghey, a little commercial, but that's just plain sick man.
How can people like this even look at themselves in the mirror everyday?

Definitely get rid of the +1 weapons. They serve no purpose in that store, and I find it hard to believe you're selling more than a handful a month.
Now if we could just get the Clubs of the Holy flame from the vendor, that'd be the *******!!!! Dual wielding CoftHF FTW!!! High Five!!!
Ghallanda - Active Duty: Sotiris Halfling 20 Monk, Decimus Atreius Halfling 8 Fighter/6 Rogue/3 Paladin, Dimicron Drow 17 Cleric, Scaldus Halfling 15 Cleric/2 Monk, Anselus Halfling 6 FvS, Lanistae Halfling 7 Ranger, Iterum Human 2 Fighter/1 Paladin - Semi-Retired: Dimi Halfling 17 Fighter(Beta Survivor)
You should get rid of +1 to +3 items from the store. They are not used that often in game. Instead sell some of the DR bypass weapons since you can get stuck trying to find that one weapon you need to bypass the boss DR to finish an instance. I had bit of problem finding ghost touch weapons
An idea you might throw around is allowing pay to morph weapons into ones that are more fitting for their class. Like I have a ghost touch dagger and tho I can use it my build is for short swords and rapier.
Or be able to add a power to a weapon you already have.
THIS!! (+1), many new players have problems finding DR breakers specifically silver and cold iron. Even the ones that know they need it may have issues finding one, specifically to there weapon set.
A few +1's with the right metal wouldnt be game breaking at all but it would help new players get the DR breakers they need as this can often be hard to find along the way or very expensive.
