Default Allow us to choose *ALL* feats.

This may have been suggested before but I'm going to state my opinion.

I don't like having to have sunder and trip on my cleric yet they come with the class. I don't use them at all because she is a caster cleric. If I were to role play her, she wouldn't have aquired that knowledge at all. She would have aquired the knowledge that pertains to what her interists were as a cleric.

I would like to be able to at least switch those feats out for something more appropriate to what she does. A visit to Fred to be able to rid myself of feats that I did not get to choose at character creation would be an acceptable way of allowing this. Better yet, allow us to choose the feats that we want to use at creation instead of saddleing us with feats that we will never use and did not get to select.

They're implemented like feats, but sunder and trip are not feats.
They're basic actions that anyone can take in combat in D&D 3.5

They're only implemented this way in game for ease of use.

Keep in mind that trip and sunder are not feats per se. They are combat abilities available to all classes. It just happened to be more convenient for Turbine to code them as feats.

    Edit: beat me to it.

    Ahhh....I see.

Well...I don't have to like it. It just rubbs my OCD a bit wrong.

Changing trip and sunder for a real feat would be like trading your dwarf's beard for 2 weapon fighting.

Why? They're feats you can't switch out, so why get rid of them? Even if they are useless, getting rid of them is as well.

I thought they were actual feats but it turns out they are not really. Just coded that way to make the programming easiear.

I don't hotbar them or anything.

If I had a fighter, yes, but to me that makes more sense on a melee type. Clerics can go both caster focused or melee focused or a mix of both. If someone wanted to take them, go for it, I would rather have something else that I would use.

I really like to customize. I reall enjoy that aspect of the game and the "feats" given are not something that I would have even considered on a caster focused cleric and it makes me feel like my characters are not truly custom.
