    Question An older player suggestions

I enjoy the game immensely, but as I age I'm having problems due to age, physical limitations, and disease.

Could 2 changes to the controls be considered by the dev's please?

    1) enlargeable cursors and ability to change it's color. Between tri-focals and eye disease/aging issues the cursor gets "lost" far too frequently. My casters are a particular chore at times, taking damage because I'm searching for the cursor to click something. (No the f-keys / hot keys are NOT the total solution but do help to a lesser degree.)

    2) enable an option to TOTALLY disable mouse look functionality. In trying to re-locate the cursor by moving it a lot, I can frequently slip into mouse look. Of all the features of this wonderful game I hate mouse look most.

I doubt these are totally new suggestions but I would appreciate anything you could do to help me continue to enjoy the game. TIA for your consideration.

I keep loosing that damn cursor all the time, probably doesn't help i have bad vision problems in my right eye.

To the mouse look, i may be wrong, but can't you disable it in the keybindings? Sort of have it mapped to no key?

/signed and unsigned.......while i TOTALLY agree with most of what your saying, i really like mouselook, with practice you can basically run always in that mode and do fine.

I definitely understand that my feelings on mouselook may not be the majority position, but a simple toggle to turn it off totally would be much appreciated.

How do you accidentally trigger it? The only way to turn it on is with the hotkey you select.

To prevent yourself from hitting the key, go to the settings, keymappins, and clear all hotkeys set for mouselook. there will then be no way for you to hit the wrong key and select it.

I'm also having the same problems with MouseLook, and have since Unlimited went live. I wish I knew why it happens - it's driving me nuts at times. I think it is when I run the targeting reticule over an interactive object - like an Alchemy Table, mushroom, chest, or lever. This can happen at a distance from the object, too. Next thing I know, I'm in MouseLook - and I have to double-tap the ML hotkey to get out of it (effectively turning it on then back of).

The only thing that turning off my ML hotkey did was to prevent me from turning it off when it happens.

And the odd thing is, it does not happen all the time.

It's very odd - but it's really annoying.

In addition I would greatly appreciate the ability to resize more portions of the user interface.

DDO gives me insane lag, sometimes 30 sec to advance NPC text windows. Anyway, I am typing to someone and text advances and I type and I usually start running, with mouselook on and , inventory, character, grouping, and map windows open.

The bug that sends you into mouselook inadvertently happens for me when I'm holding ALT (mapped to 'DDO Classic Interact/Orbit' which spins my camera) and I push my primary mouse button (mapped to 'DDO Classic Interact/Steer) at the same time.

This puts me into auto mouse look and have to dbl-tap the mouselook key to get out of it. Happening since EU went live and is driving me nuts since I don't use mouselook mode ever, but rather hold the mouse button to steer.

In the interest of clarity, you can completely disable the mouselook toggle in your keybindings (just clear it.) It appears there is a possibility that a bug exists in which mouselook may get entered by some other means, but that is a different matter (i.e., a bug, not a feature request.)
